Hi,
Been rolling for 2 months now and have never gotten close to the number of smokes quoted for a 6oz bag of anything I've tried.
I've gotten from 140 smokes with McClintock up to 170 with Gambler,
I also tried to roll some smokes using a 1 oz per smoke ratio and found them to be very loose smokes.
Anyone have the same problem or question?

1 oz per smoke? Dang, that reminds me of the rolling paper that came in the old Cheech & Chong record album.
I have quit counting how many I get per pound. I made roughly 560 to 580 per pound.
I did get 3 cartons out of a pound once, and yes, they were loose, but that made the "draw" easier which I have come to enjoy. I find myself rolling the cigarette between my thumb and finger to loosen up most of my smokes.
Besides, at $0.74 cents per pack, why not have them packed loose, I can smoke 4.5 cigs for the same cost as a single Marlboro.
Hope this helps. |

| I kept a record for about a month and when making 100mm cigs, I was getting 21 cigarettes per ounce. |

I have gotten from 145 to 185 from 6oz. bags of Gambler light. Doesn't seem consistently cut. But $8 (bag and tubes) for 7 to 9 packs isn't bad. Pre-made cartons are $45 dollars at the discount cig stores here in northern MI.
I get at least 185 from 6oz. cans of Fresh Choice light every time. $9.95 a can, but it is much better tobacco. BTW, if you want to try some, she will send you a can for free: http://800cheaper.com You will have to leave a message, she never answers the phone, but usually calls back in an hour or so.
How do you like the McClintock? I just ordered some 13oz cans to try it out. |

William3,
Thanks for the link for the free sample.
I do like the McClintock it's very fresh and needs to dry out a bit before packing.
I don't mind the fact that my numbers change a bit was just curious if others notice the same thing or was I overpacking my smokes.

Having a slow day, just caught my goof, that would be 1 gram per smoke!!!
If use the 1gram formula, that would be 458 smokes per lb at best right?
