I agree with you about the cutter mechanism...I don't think that's it. The hard part is when the spoon pushes the tobacco into the tube. I think I'm getting muscles!! LOL But only in one arm!!

Thanks

Yes it's like when the cutter compresses the tobacco the spoon locks in place. I don't know why that is. Sometimes it goes okay and some others it doesn't

When the spoon withdraws it may be withdrawing too far. That happened to me before. I will try to post the modification that I made to my machine that solved this problem tonight if I have time. It only requires a popcycle stick and a piece of tape.

Without photo's I will try to talk you through it for now.

Flip your machine over on it's back with the front facing you. Notice on the bottom left hand corner there is a slot that the spoon can be removed through and a bit up from that is a spring.

Take the stick, slide it under the spring, flat against the side of the machine, crank the handle of the machine so that the spoon mechanism moves away from the slot, slide the popcycle stick so that it comes between the slot and the mechanism. Use a small peice of tape, toward the top of the stick to hold this in place. Between the tape and the spring, this is enough to hold the stick in place.

This will keep the spoon mechanism from withdrawing the spoon too far and may stop the sticking problem that occures at the beginning of "the slide".

Hope this helps. Take care.
