I reported a broken link for "The History of the Conspiracy Against Tobacco," but it's actually not broken yet. I moved the website to smokershistory.com, but there wasn't anyplace to report this in the broken link report. Very Happy

This type of website is only harmful in the war for smokers rights. It is a nearly incoherent rant that attacks and alienates several groups of people who have nothing to do with the anti-smoking movement.

This is another person who believes that their rights are paramount, but the rights of others are meaningless. we need to realize that the same people trying to take away our right to smoke are also undermining the rights of gays and minorities. The recent Supreme Court ruling on imminent domain is a perfect example of how our rights are being stolen from us.

If we expect to keep our right to smoke, then we need to respect and support the rights of others to do things that we might not agree with, but are inalienable rights none the less.

That said, I respect and support CarolAnn's right to freedom of speech, and therefore ensure my right to say her website is a crock of shit.

roland, i couldn't agree with you more. people will say, again and again, it's the left that is pushing the smoking bans. it is the left AND the right that are pushing the smoking bans. it is the left AND the right that are undermining our freedoms and liberties. just look around you and you'll see patterns on all kinds of issues emerge from the left AND the right. it seems to me that non-smokers don't see the big picture. non-smokers should be fearful of smoking bans...it has nothing to do with smoking or second-hand smoke...it has to do with banning frredom and choice. all our freedoms are in jeopardy and smoking is just symbolic of the whole big mess this country is in. people need to wake up before it's too late!

Rolling Eyes And who are these people, emissaries of the Lasker Foundation? Or the Robber Baron Liberation Front, defenders of the powerless and downtrodden wealthy Puritan conspiracy? The Junk Science Lobby, protectors of the government's right to tell us to eat our magic fruits and vegetables and shut up? These are exactly the kind of people who have sabotaged out movement from Day One. THEY are the crocks of shit.

LOL.

You make those of us who rationally and conscientiously fight the anti's look bad.

A conspiracy is something done in secret. The anti smoking movement functions on the stupidity of the general public, not secrecy. The general public are stupid sheep that will believe whatever they are told. You just happen to be on the other side of the spectrum.
