I've been using Windsail Silver as a replacement for my old Marb Lts. It's a great smooth smoke, and if I need a little extra kick, I'll blend in a little Bali Shag FF in a small bowl before sitting down to roll. I work nights, so when I get home at 4 am, I settle down in front of the TIVO and roll about 2 days worth for me, and another 2 for my wife. Takes about as much time as a 1 hour show while fast forwarding the commercials.
I haven't seen it addressed here (may have missed it) but are you making sure your tobbaco is hydrated? I keep mine at a steady 70% using disks. I also use a small rubbermaid 2 compartment "leftover container" to seperate my smokes from my wife's. In one of the compartments I use an old NyQuil cup with a damp paper towl to keep the pre rolled fresh. Too dry and it makes even my sweet virginia as harsh as the ditch weed I smoked in college. |

| Also tubes can make a big difference as can trying 100's. Filter lengths (15mm. 17mm, 22mm, 25mm) and types (high density, charcoal), as can paper, perforated for lights vs.porous paper. I recently ordered some Ramback Elite and Twister Air Tubes to try. Zen lights smoke different than El Ray lights (the two I've tried). |

| There is a learning/experimentation curve to this and there is always something to learn. I began MYO just over 5 years ago and you have to try different tobaccos and tubes and adjust the humidity and control how firm you pack the tube. Takes some time. In time after experimenting you will find out what tobaccos you prefer. When you first get off the corporate cigs and smoke MYO it will be a bit different of an experience. At first you will feel like something is missing and what you are missing is all of the additives like ammonia which give you a rush and addict you to their cigs. It took me about 3 weeks to wean myself away from the corp cigs and then all was fine. Try different tobaccos and tubes, some tubes do have those little pinholes for a lighter smoke and some don't. Get a good machine. I have a Premier Supermatic and it is over 5 years old and still works great and it has probably made over 1400 packs. |
