Dear Reader,

Feel free to light up a smoke while you read this special letter. That’s right, go ahead, get comfortable and savor every delicious, life-saving puff of your tobacco.

Yes, you read that right. I said “Life-Saving.” And I stake my reputation on that.

Nothing beats a good smoke with a strong cup of coffee, or alongside a whiskey... especially after a big steak dinner. The only problem is you can’t light up these days without getting an earful from the anti-smoking nuts.

If only they knew the REAL truth about tobacco!

Anti-smoking fanatics are everywhere. At offices, restaurants, bars, you name it. I don’t blame them for being ignorant about the realities of smoking, because, hey, they don’t know what I know (and what you’re about to learn!) Mainstream “science” stages so many anti-smoking campaigns these days you’d think cigarettes were made of nuclear waste.

These fanatics shout, “You’re destroying your lungs! You’re raising my health care costs! And you’re killing ME and MY CHILDREN!”

They all want to know: “What kind of medical doctor is crazy enough to smoke?”

And what I say next always makes their jaws drop to the floor...

SMOKING CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE...

...and I’ve got all the science to prove it. So stop trying to stub out my stogie!

The tobacco controversy is soaring out of control, and I consider it my job as America’s most rational doctor to dispel the web of paranoid myths and confusion surrounding tobacco.

But I didn’t always think this way.

In the early years of my practice, I was such an anti-smoking fanatic that I would refuse to even see a patient unless they quit smoking. Oh, how times have changed. You see, after finding a few studies supporting the health benefits of tobacco, I still thought you’d have to be crazy to light up anything containing tobacco and nicotine. But my curiosity was piqued...

And as study after study came to my attention...I realized I was wrong all along (yes, I’ll admit I was wrong on occasion -- in my younger years)! Once I saw the mountains of evidence, I slowly came to the indisputable conclusion that...

Tobacco is a health gift from God!

When practiced in moderation, smoking can load you up with health benefits you never imagined possible. By “moderation,” I mean smoking smart. Let’s face it – three packs a day might do you in after enough years. But by knowing what to smoke and how much, you can enjoy the proven health benefits of tobacco, including its ability to prevent heart disease, control your weight and even reduce the risks of Alzheimer’s disease and certain cancers!

And that’s just the beginning!

Now don’t get me wrong – you can’t smoke all day and expect to get healthy. Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite work that way. But I do want you to know that the relatively small risks of smoking really pale in comparison to all the potential benefits.

You CAN smoke and get healthy – as long as you know how!

My name is Dr. William Campbell Douglass, II. I’ve been voted “Doctor of the Year” by the National Health Federation. I’ve also been labeled a “maverick” and “pioneer”... plus some other less flattering names I won’t mention here.

I’m sick and tired of mainstream medicine always putting profits and political correctness in front of cold hard facts...and making the whole world sicker (and dumber!) as a result.

And let’s get another thing straight right off the bat: I’ve never taken a penny from a tobacco company. The whole lot of them can rot for all I care. They advertise to kids, add dangerous chemicals and fiberglass to their tobacco… and these are just the beginning of their offenses. But why should we responsible, tax-paying adults suffer – and be denied the many health benefits of tobacco -- because of the misdeeds of some cartoon camel?

Just like our fruit juices have been gunked up with corn syrup and preservatives...just like our raw milk is pasteurized into poison...so too has Big Tobacco taken something natural and ruined it for the rest of the world.

The only reason I’m offering this information to you today is because it’s the truth—and I’m the medical maverick that refuses to be silenced by mainstream propaganda no matter how unpopular the stand I am taking is.

For example, I bet your doctor would think this is the grand-daddy of all medical shockers:

Tobacco smoke may alleviate heart attacks and stroke!

By now, you’ve probably heard of so many studies linking smoking and heart disease. Sure, smoking causes heart disease...and my pet dog speaks Greek, too!

If any patient of mine was ever concerned about cardiovascular health, I’d let them know that one of my favorite prescriptions is 3 delicious cigars a day. And once you take a look at the evidence, you ‘ll start to see why. Consider these facts:

Low levels of carbon monoxide may actually help victims of heart attacks and strokes
Smokers have a better chance of surviving angioplasty surgery
Small doses of nicotine help produce new blood vessel growth around blocked arteries
Meanwhile, all the studies that try to link smoking and heart disease add up to nothing but a bunch of hogwash, and I’ll show you why. For example, while there’s been a sharp decrease in smoking in the USA over the years, there’s been an increase in reported cases of heart disease. Hmm, makes you wonder if something ELSE might be responsible, eh?

So why haven’t you read about these groundbreaking studies in your local newspaper? Well, it’s just not politically acceptable to report good news about tobacco. Not when these stories seriously compromise mountains of government grant money doled out like candy to anti-tobacco researchers and activists… not when it could undermine billions of government revenue from tobacco taxes or the big money that drug companies have invested in anti-smoking drugs…

No, you’ll never hear all these special interests admit the truth… that smoking can be GOOD for your heart. And here’s something else they hoped you’d never learn…

Smoking can protect your brain!

It’s true—study after study proves that smoking can:

Slash your risk of Alzheimer’s – studies show that not smoking could actually increase your risk of Alzheimer’s

Stop Parkinson’s dead in its tracks – researchers have learned that smokers are 73% less likely to develop Parkinson’s

Improve your memory and concentration – the right dose of nicotine can keep your mind sharp as a tack
Yes, indeed, this is disturbing news to those fanatics who hate tobacco—and good news for those of us smart enough to smoke it.

But even I was shocked after digging through study after study proving that in many cases...

Smoke more and live longer!
Here’s a comparison between Japanese men and American men that was reported by the Washington Post, even though it probably didn’t make the cut at your local newspaper:

Japanese men, who are twice as likely to smoke as American men, not only live longer but also remarkably, have lower rates of lung cancer!

Hmmmm...they smoke more AND live longer? Makes you wonder if cigarettes are really to blame for all the deaths over here in the good old
U S of A.

Smoking can actually prevent cancer!

Now this goes against what EVERY SINGLE dunderhead doc in the country is saying, but I don’t care. While excessive smoking can and will lead to cancer in certain scenarios, for the most part it has nothing to do with it.

In fact, smoking may actually help PREVENT certain types of cancers, including thyroid, breast and skin....Unfortunately, I don’t have the space to list all the information here

Hell I already knew that without the studies to prove it. Never spent a day in the hospital, rarely ever got sick or have allergies. Family members who smoked lived into late 80's to mid 90's. And after nearly 54 years of smoking a pack a day, non filtered everyone around me is wondering why I'm not dead yet.

I was doing just fine until the nannies took over and spoiled my whole way of life.

Let's make sure it does - I'll share!

Japan has a lower incidence of lung cancer than the US - and more smokers.

France - you always hear about how "everyone in France smokes" but you never hear health horror stories - and they also eat rich foods, but that's another discussion entirely!

Anyway, love the article, thank you ever so much for sharing.
