Wow, interesting information. I did not know that special effects people were involved in making the graphic photos. That explains a lot. I thought there was something fishy about real people donating photos of their medical conditions for public viewing.
It didn't make sense that someone would allow a photo of themselves or their family member to be displayed on a package in order to scare people out of buying the product. Who would be willing to pose in front of a camera in order to show the world how disgusting their teeth are? I have known many smokers in my life, but no one with teeth that horrible!

People may donate photos and have it displayed online to teach
other people about the bad effects of smoking but it will take a lot courage
in doing so.
