Top-o-matick injector = 34.00
3 boxes of Zen light tubes = 750 tubes (king size) 9.00
16 oz. The Good Stuff Light =14.00
3.5 oz Windsail =8.00
3.5 oz Ramback =10.00
3.5 oz Two Timer =9.00
Postage +- 16.00

Total 100.00

1oz of pipe cut tobacco makes +- 20-23 cigarettes
26.5 oz. pipe cut tobacco will make +- 580 cigarettes
Total price of a pack of smokes. 3.44 (price of the injector is included!!!!)

What would two cartons and nine loose packs of cigarettes cost you at the gas station?
Here in Florida at 6 dollars a pack it would cost more or less 170 Dollars

Well you already have the injector so your next 580 smokes are only going to cost you 66 Dollars at 2.27 for a pack of smokes.

With time you will find the tobacco blend you like most and you will just have to buy what you like but in bulk, so you will save on shipping and the tobacco will cost less.

I don’t know about you but Obama is saving me money by forcing me to make my own better quality, better tasting and chemical/perfume free smokes.

And don’t forget this…by buying tobacco and making your own you are supporting American businesses as apposed to Philip Morris who is a London based company that does not even pay taxes for it’s profits in this country.

You can get all of the above "stuff" from the following vendors.

You will notice all the tobaccos are listed as "Pipe Tobacco" fear not it stuffs, smokes and tastes like cigarette tobacco. (it is cigarette tobacco)
You don't have to get the Top-O-Matick injector get what ever makes you happy but I'm told it's the best.

Now here are some videos to go watch.

Zen light tubes, tar and you

This you need to know. when you make your own smokes you are using actual tobacco. Factory cigarettes are made from reconstituted (spell?) tobacco (for the most part)
Translation ...your smokes will have more tar in them. Tar = bad so light tubes are good because they have better filters or they mix smoke with air.
The Zen light tube has a longer filter so more tar is absorbed and the tube has no nasty paper taste.
For 250 tubes at 2.34 (something) you can't go wrong.

Tar Gard filters.
http://www.targard.com/product/36/Mini_Disposable_Cigarette_Filter/

yes I gave you the link to the disposable filter. Why?
Look at the picture. Inside the filter you will see a little red nipple thingy. that red thing is the part that separates the tar from the smoke and it can be removed by simply sticking a match down the barrel of the mouth piece. It pops out, you clean the filter in warm soapy water with a small brush to get into the tight spots, dry and reassemble.
Bingo it's ready to use again and again and again.
10 bucks for 100 filters is a good deal. they will last a long time.

Typically one filter is supposed to last for 6 smokes but SYO smokes are full of real tobacco with real tar (and they are bigger) so you only get to smoke about 3 SYO smokes before the filter is full of tar. simply store it in a safe place (they stink to high heaven) and clean them later.

Finding your preferred smoke.

A classical American cigarette consists of three types of tobacco
Virginia Burley and Turkish/ Oriental tobaccos

in the shopping list in the OP I provided for all three.
You have to decide what it is you like to taste or "feel" in your smoke.
You don't have to use those exact tobaccos it was just an example of what it costs but you cant go wrong with the tree basics.
Burley, Virginia and Turkish
Burley has taste can be harsh on the tongue Virginia is smooth/sweet and Turkish ads aroma and taste.

Start off blending 1/2 oz (14 g) batches. this will give you more or less 10 smokes to try.
later you can experiment with different Virginia tobaccos and try different base tobaccos. The base tobacco I provided (The Good Stuff Light) is a light tobacco meaning it is smoother to smoke but does not mean it's light in Nicotine or Tar.
Try different tubes if you must but beware the full flavor tubes. they have really short filters that tend to separate from the tipping paper causing smoke to bypass the filter.

Here are some blends I smoke often.

50% The Good Stuff Light
20% Ramback (Turkish)
30% Windsail (Virginia)
Zen light tube ES and I use a Tar Gard filter.

30% The Good Stuff light
10% Two timer (Burley)
30% Ramback (Turkish)
30% Windsail Silver (light Virginia)
GIZEH Silver Tip Charcoal filter tube and the Tar Gard

50% Three Sails (British Virginia)
40% The Good Stuff Light
10% Ramback (Turkish)
GIZEH Silver Tip Charcoal filter tube and the Tar Gard

30% Two Timer (Burley)
20% The good Stuff Light
30% Windsail (Virginia)
20% Ramback (Turkish)
Zen light tube ES and I use a Tar Gard filter.

I either just smoke TGS (regular or natural) or American Spirits straight - I'm a purist Very Happy

Zen light tubes are the best IMHO!

I go through machines, maybe one every 8 months (apparently I'm rough on them and not very handy tinkering with the components) but it's still WAY cheaper than Factory Made Cigarettes. The Cigarettes are also PURE tobacco, no sheet tobacco or additives and NO FSC!

I call them my Artisan Cigarettes.

I'm waiting for my Supermatick 2 to die and I'll be getting the Top next.

Nothing wrong with smoking one type of tobacco. I think of it as I would a single malt scotch.
I'm an enthusiastic cook and I love to make my own rubs, sauces and condiments so blending comes natural to me. I always want to try a little of this with a little of that to see how it will taste. Cool
