Smoker's Guerrilla Movement?
Must admit, sounded strange at first.
I stop being nice to nico nazis for some time now. "Well meaning" health "advocates" presuming that I was not informed about the health risk associated with smoking tobacco beyond moderation were next on my list. Security guards going out there way to enforce smoking bans also got a few nasty remarks from me a few times.

By the way, and not that it will make any difference, it's impossible to be allergic to tobacco smoke. In this day and age though, any dislike of any odor is considered by many to be an allergic reaction and it is very trendy to be "allergic" to tobacco smoke.
Why will they self destruct? They have and will continue to make too much money to self destruct, Rockerfeller type money or whatever that Railroad family's name was....Carnegie, I guess...that money is still around as will be the Anti-Smoking movement. I don't know what you mean they'll self destruct.

As you said, there is big money in the antismoking movement. So the people involved aren't going to voluntarily walk away. No matter how many draconian measures are passed, they have to continue pushing for further restrictions in order to keep collecting those fat paychecks.
The government likes the antismoking movement because it gives them justification to keep raising tobacco taxes and bringing in more money. Unfortunately for the antismoking movement, the government will lose all that money if they allow the antis to achieve their only logical final goal, which is total prohibition.
You can see that the antis and the government are on a collision course. They can't both continue to get their money while maintaining an alliance. Either the antis give up and go home, or the government agrees to prohibition and has no way to finance their own budgets.

That certainly clarifies that, thanks. I had foolishly perceived them to be ONE with a common goal but that is far from the case. Any that stand between a government and tax $ can only eventually meet with destruction. |
