On August 23, 1984 as a young college student I smoked my first premium cigar down in Dallas while I attended the Republican National Convention. I did it to celebrate the re-nomination of Ronald Wilson Reagan.

I didn't have a party to celebrate to celebrate 25 great years of cigar smoking because most of my furniture is in Omaha and my bachelor pad and sports museum is looking a little bare.

I do plan to to have my 25 year celebration in November on the date of the Great American Smokeout.

I would encourage those of you that live in the states to plan a big party that day and smoke up a storm!

I have never understood why it is called the smoke out when everyone is NOT smoking that day.

I don't care WHAT they call it...I STILL smoke on that day...the ultimate protest! Cool
