There will be no more smoking in ANY pubic place here. There will be no more smoke friendly resturants. If you want a cigarette after you eat, then you have to leave right after that last bite, and hope it's OK with the gestapo that you smoke in your car. You can't smoke in Bars either. The only exception is cigar bars. We haven't been able to smoke while shopping in a long time... well except for the flea market where I have started buying most of my stuff. I hope they can't enforce it there.

I am wondering if mostly outdoor places like flea markets will also be banning the habit.

I think it is crazy myself. I mean I doubt that smoking really hurts me any more than any of the other unhealthy things most Americans do. I do not think it harms my kids who stay with me all the time, and I know darned well it is not harmful to anyone without some fluke alergy to sit in a building that has a smoking section on the other side.

This is persecution and a violation of our rights as individuals. What about the right to Life Liberty and the Persuit of happiness. I can't be happy unless I am smoking, and they have no right to restrict me this way! It is more than a minor inconvenience. If I go to the mall with my kids and it takes more than a couple of hours I am miserable. I actually avoid going. If I go out to eat, I want to be able to smoke after a meal. It is an awful feeling to sit there, and wish everyone would hurry with their meal, cause I am having a nicotine fit. Compare that with having a leasurely meal, and a nice after dinner conversation during which I could smoke, and relax.

Personally I think we should be talking about legalizing marajuana, not banning smoking. This is just crazy. This is 2009, and we are still in the dark ages. God I hate this.

You can still smoke in a private club in North Carolina - so now's the time to join a private club.

Whether - Moose-Elks - Veterans - Legion Halls - etc. that's where you can still enjoy a legal habit in a privately owned business.

All other privately owned businesses are shiit out of luck.

They didn't fight enough and the legislation turned their backs on private property rights.

Take it from a New Englander who's been dealing with this for years.
