I expected a few new posters in here on the heels of the Federal tax increase but I haven't seen anything like we're seeing now since I started posting here several years ago.
Did you bring in all these new folks from somewhere else or is this just happening on its own? |

LOL, it's just the magic of the internet! Actually I don't know how often the old site got new members, but the traffic seems about the same from what I expected. I don't know if that means the old members are coming back less often or new people are just popping up more frequently. But I can assure you (unfortunately) I don't have that many friends
But I can tell you I'm very happy! The forum seems thriving and I hope it stays that way. Maybe because I promised to ban troublemakers? Or maybe because I allowed curse words? LOL, I dont know!!!!!
If there's anything I can do to make it a better forum please let me know. |

Well, I can assure you this is a much busier place right now than I can recall.
I'm sure the fact that the new tax increase affected the entire U.S. has something to do with it. State tax increases would usually bring in a few frustrated smokers from the affected state but the fed tax increase is all 50 states.
If history is any guide it will tail off after the initial fervor is over but it is good to see people looking for information and a place to vent. Can only help. |

I guess when you have the biggest tobacco tax hike ever, more fed up smokers come out of the closet. I definitely notice an increase in traffic on my blog for the past 2 days. This month is only 2 days old. And for the first time ever, I got more than 100 hits in only 2 days.
A year ago, my blog would get an average of "only" 15 total hits in 2 days. lol
It's good more and more smokers are reading forums like this one ever since the tax hike. I just hope those smokers who are fed up on the tax hike can see the light even more when it comes to politicians abusing the few freedoms all of us smokers have left.
Anyone going to DC's version of a Boston Tea Party on the 15th? Cept there will be likely packs being tossed around to folks instead of tea being tossed. |

My roommate and I are going to the one here in Phoenix. Wouldn't miss this one. |
