I swear I heard of this smoke shop from reading old posts on this forum. Well, cigoutlet.com is now owned by Blackhawk Tobacco shop. The two folks running the Blackhawk Tobacco Shop recently bought the domain.

I hope they don't get bombarded by negative posts/emails from the customers of the old cigoutlet.com

I wonder if anyone will buy the esmokes.com domain. Beats me on why that site is still up although the company is outta business. I guess their domain expires in 2050? LOL

What ever happened to the original cigoutlet.com and cigoutlet.net? Did they get shut down by PM?

I don't know what happened to either of these companies. I do know that we purchased CigOutlet, the domain name, in a public auction in March 2009. The site had been advertised to be on sale for approximately 65 days before the auction start. The auction lasted 3 days and had 24 different bidders. Fortunately, we were able to win the domain name after a rather heated exchange of bids in the last 5 minutes.

As to what happened to the former company, I am unsure. Fortunately, we are not affiliated with them at all. The new Cigoutlet.com is a prosmoking website and attached to our main site: Black Hawk Forum.

Thanks for the info. For many, many years, that was a great off-shore place to purchase cigarettes. But I guess no more. I know PM was after them, being the jerks PM are. What a shame.

Yeah, nothing is the same as it used to be. I still miss all the good advice Bill Williams used to be able to give us. And I don't know why you think it is "fortunate" you are not associated with the old company. I ordered from them for years and got great service and no tax bills.

It is a shame more people don't have their eyes open to all the liberties that are being taken away. By the time they notice, it may be too late.

The reason why I am glad that I am not associated with the former company is because of what happened to their customers. Many of their customers were screwed by those people. Why would I want to be associated with them?

Here's some past news about the former CigOutlet.com:

From New York City
http://www.nyc.gov/html/dof/html/services/services_fraud_cigarettes.shtml

From Pennsylvania:

There's more, but I think these two links are enough to get the point across.
