i posted yesterday in the roll your own forum and now its gone i guess it got deleted or moved i would like to know what happend Confused

I guess if you keep asking the same Q over and over, you might get banned.

drum roller - I've gotten some instructions from the previous owner as to what to look out for in spammers. Anyone who comes here just to post a link to sell something, I delete.

im not a spammer sorry if i posted a link i wasnt suppose to i just thought since i got some free tobacco maybe some ones else would like some free samples i wont post any more stuff like that but i will keep reading this forum Very Happy

Drum - I'm sorry if you're not a spammer, but we just have to be always on the lookout on the internet. I am in the research phase right now of looking for an upgrade to this site software which will better block spammers so we can avoid these misunderstandings.

most forums iv read have rules posted at the top maybe u guys should do that just a suggestion tho not telling u what to do ....heres a forum i like to read and i think its set up pretty good http://metaldetectingforum.com/ <--- not spamming delete if u want

Thanks Drum! Yes, I'm thinking about making it a requirement that you have to be a member for over 30 days or make 30 posts before you can post a link, or something like that. You can always post the URL, it just won't turn into a link unless you've been on the forum for 30 days etc. That should keep the spammers away!

sounds like a great idea by the way how long has this forum been alive seems like its new or maybe it just hasnt been updated that often still a good forum with good info well c ya later and good luck on the spam war Smile

Drum, the forum is about 10 years old, but I've only been around for the past week Smile The software does seem a bit outdated, I've seen more features on other sites, that's why I'm working on updating it.
