I can think of betta "nonsmokeers" on smoking forums to talk to compared to the few ones on here who are ANTI-smokers.
That is true, you can't put them in the same class just because they are non-smokers. This relates to my problem with the abortion issue as well. There are the pro-life and pro-choice sides. Nobody thinks of it in terms of three sides like pro-abortion, anti-abortion, and pro-choice. Every debate has 3 sides with a group stuck in the middle, like non-smokers.
Still, this forum doesn't identify a pro from an anti or a non.
SInce we're online at the same time, I'm gonna enjoy this til you get the darn message.
The only "pro" in smoking is a smoker although a lot of smokers believe the antismoking lies. Nonsmokers are impartial...they're "con" when it comes to the idea of them smoking themselves. But they're "pro" when it comes to disagreeing with making all places smoke-free.
Smokers aren't the only ones who believe in smokers rights. Some nonsmokers believe in freedom of choice for smokers too. But I don't mean the "non-smokers" in the way you use that term on here.
Antis are "con" all the way on smoking. Enough said about those fools. |

You said if I can come up with betta analogies than this. The problem is these anti statements have been read by me for 11 years on the net. They've ALWAYS been saying smoking kills and it smells bad.
Even I should ask them myself "Can you guys think of any otha smoking cons to say? You sound like a broken record."
But in reply to YOUR Q, how are these?
Cigarettes kill. But so does drugs.
CIgarettes kill. But so can using steroids.
Cigarettes kill. But so can using a gun.
Smoking smells bad. So does trash in a bag or dump.
Smoking smells bad. But so does a guy with a funky-a ss body.
Smoking smells bad. But so does certain perfumes in stores.
I have neva learned anythang new from anti posts online over the years. They talk like a broken record, and they always have the same old s hit.
Here's a betta type of analogy I would use if I actually heard the same re-run from an antismoker.
"Smoking kills!" Oh, Mr. Fked up antismoker? And who said you're gonna live a long time if you neva smoke in your whole life? I outlived at least one woman who neva smoked in her whole life, neva lived with smoking parents eitha, but she still died at 25 naturally from cancer! You can't blame smoking for giving her that kind of cancer. She came from a family with a deep history of cancer deaths, meaning she has a good chance of getting it even if she neva smoked."
I hope you're aware that the oldest people in this world were smokers. Do I need to point you {Mr fantasy Anti] to the page located on the Smokers Club?

Smoke from cigs smells bad? Based on that illogic, I should ban perfumes cause I hate smelling certain perfumes. If that sounds stupid to you Mr. Big Baby Anti, how the he!! do you think your reasoning for banning smoking sounds? We should ban smoking in bars cause you hate smelling it? POOR BABY! Maybe you should've tried running your OWN smoke-free bar before forcing the govt to make all of the bars in town smoke-free!

EDIT: If I sound like I have no respect for antis period, you're darn right. If you've seen how antis act on smoking forums over the years, you would understand why I have no respect for them. Good luck in trying to learn ANYTHANG new about them.
I learned somethang new about that recent anti on this forum though on my own, actually.
That poster on here is a teen the Truth company is paying to harass smokers online AND offline. Maybe that's speculation. But based on how he writes and his intelligence level at a -5 rating (on a scale of 0-5), and the fact he invited smokers on here to the Truth forum, he likely IS a paid rep for that antismoking org. |

Although I wouldn't put it past the Trust organization to deliberately try to infiltrate pro-smoking websites with "plants", they probably didn't employ this "Ewok" to do their bidding. They would have chosen someone with a better grasp of the English language at least SOME debating skills. If he was pushed into this, he was sent as a lamb to the slaughter. Most of us on this forum (I have lurked for 2 years but this is only my second post) have had hard experience in dealing with these evangelical anti types, both off- and on-line and this poor kid is just….well...lame. He brings nothing new to the table. As a matter of fact, he doesn't even bring anything old to the table. He has just found a safe place to regurgitate the rhetoric that has been flung at him like feces from the fist of an angry chimp since he was in the third grade. Unfortunately, some of that fecal matter stuck and he feels the need to scrape it off and fling it at us.
They (the Trust people) are most likely horrified at the way he is getting their "message" out. While we are laughing at the posts, they are cringing and frantically trying to find a way to disassociate their name from his vile spewing.
If they paid him, they should demand their money back. |
