I have a better solution to online petitons and calling your congressman. When your done with your cig. pack, carton, whatever tobacco product you use. Take the back of the pack and cut it out like a post card , put a stamp on it, address it President Barack Obama 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington D.C., tell Mr. President how much you enjoy his new taxes( No Vulgarity or Racist Remarks Please), and drop it the mail. It'll only take a few minutes of your day and $.48. Economic Communism is what this is, and it's total B.S. They can't ban it so there going to make it so expensive you can't afford to do it. And this is just the begin, how long till the taxes on everything else goes though the roof. They can't take away our rights so they'll just tax it.
I hope that you like the idea. It won't make it to him, but If we can get enough people doing this it'll clog up the postal system and that will make news.
Tell anybody who will listen!

I think it's agreat idea!! If we could get thousands to send, they would have to take notice, and perhaps something good could come of it.
Thank you for posting your idea!!!

I don't buy ready-made smokes anymore, so I can't do that. I buy loose tobacco and make my own.
But this is a great idea just the same! |

though i still think the best way to fight is to grow your own tobacco, because even the corporate phillip morris, sells us cigarettes and at the same time are joining hand in hand with the anti's, it is absolutely absurd, we are - were their loyal customers and they back stabbed us.
not to sound mean, but to hell with childrens insurance, here they are condemning us for smoking, 2nd hand smoke and all that other pish posh, and here they are harnessing our stog tax money, man, we're being raped from all ends here. |

It doesn't matter if you roll your own or not. If you use the ready made tubes you can just cut off one of the flat sides, put the stamp & address on it and mail it out! Anything can be used.

I'm not talking about swallowing their poison pill. We need a modern day Boston Tea Party, to show these c*cksuckers we can stand up to them. And if that don't work...there's that other way.

If you visit www.whitehouse.gov and notice the bill that did it, wonder why the bill is named as 'a reauthorization'?
We've been paying for this piece of shit State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) since 1996. Remember when it was The Tobacco Master Settlement that jacked the price of cigarettes? Instead of dividing the settlement money among the class known as 'us smokers' as would any other such lawsuit settlement, the government under Bill Clinton took that settlement money and created that damned insurance scheme, and now Obama has added another $0.62 a pack to the injury, so between the Fed excise tax and the price hike to cover the settlement, we're paying out the ass while complaining to our representatives will do us absolutely no good, not with the damned 'Cancer Police' and their fear talk suppressing the real issue, which is all about The 9th Amendment, The 14th Amendment, The Uniform Tax Clause, and the prohibition against alliances and confederacies committed at the State and local level of government. BTW , the current reauthorization bill was written by wifey Hillary Clinton. Ain't that special?
Yes, damn straight. We have Unconstitutionally high surcharges and taxations and, because of the 'Cancer Police' organizations and individuals such as The American Lung Association and the flipping Surgeon General (what have these people done for a living in the last 50 years but to fail at finding the cure while sucking up tax dollars?), We Have No Voice.
The Boston Tea Party occured when the British Government applied unjust taxation to tea. The colonists refused to accept the shipment and demanded the tea be sent back to England. Boston officials refused to return the tea. They meant to stiff the colonists, so at a town hall meeting conducted by Samuel Adams, about 130 very irate men got up, went out to the ships, a few thinly disguised as Indians, and proceeded to throw the tea overboard into the sea. The British responded with more prohibitive law on the colonies, specifically to avoid any further protests involving the destruction of goods.

We can't throw tobacco into the sea, but we damn well could loot it or burn it. The merchants are complicit. They do Nothing but to pre-pay the tax which prevents Our Right to Object at the point of purchase, which then sticks us with the "Take it or Leave it" shitty attitude.
When we have no voice, we can still act, though if we have to go there and alter or abolish to get our Equality of Liberty and Justice, we must be very careful not to injure others.
Yes. I am thinking it too. |
