i've notced captain black pouches next to the bugler ryo, and i searched it and it seemed to be pipe tobacco, i wonder if it is ryo? because as i found out, it had a mixture of golden virginia to it, which is the best since it is very moist.

Many tobacco's could be interchanged, I would assume.
You would just need to take care of the strength and additives in the pipe tobacco with inhale volume.

If you RYO, moisture content shouldn't be that big of a deal

Pipe tobacco is Tax Class 'L'
RYO tobacco is Tax Class 'J'

You'll see a large price difference come April 1, 2009 between 'L' & 'J'

I'm not totally sure because I never smoked Capt Black, but I think the name is a reference to the blend which could mean Cavendish. You would not want to inhale that type of blend, if it actually is Cavendish. That will be some syrupy fermented concoction that is not intended to be inhaled.

If you do end up smoking pipe tobaccos, you'll want to pick the cleanest tobacco blends with the least amount of PG and flavorings, at least if you want to inhale. If you don't want to inhale it anyways, you could always pick up an inexpensive pipe. Many pipe tobaccos are very tasty, but very few are designed to be inhaled.
