[quote]It's been 22 days since I ordered 2 shipments of 2 cartons and they have not arrived in California-My recent order took only 15 days.

Today-2 days later still nothing. I checked status on yesmokes-it said invalid order?

Also, one of a later order said invalid order?

I emailed them to inquire. Is anybody else having this problem?

[quote="RICK is back"]Not quite sure what site they were shipped from..... don't think they were yesmoke, as the plane in the article appears to be a DHL plane (I think). Yesmoke doesn't use DHL.

looks like the cigs were from yesmoke cause they showed the website on the news report video, and they said it's the site selling the most cigs and that yesmoke has been boasting for years that they'de be selling even more, that in itself is like trying to spite the US gov I guess, so the bust is no surprise,
the carton I got from yesmoke was Winstons box, no stamp on them whatsoever, and I chose the USA made ones, cause I think maybe they're better than the Philippines or Europe ones, the thing I noticed is that the Winstons were the old style artwork box not the current one in the US,
and on the side it's printed, "US tax exempt, for use outside US", looks like these are made in USA and exported for the European market, and they were repackaged without the original carton, maybe to fit in the slimmer envelope,
maybe the feds are only stopping the packages that have US made cigs,... or maybe not,

if anyone in the US and in NY has received their 1 carton parcel from yesmoke lately please post Smile

How'zzzz it
We are also waiting for our smokes, I got worried by all the rumors and emailed yessmoke . I'll paste there reply :
Dear Customer,

receiving cigarettes from Yesmoke.ch is legal. In fact all our parcels
have
an international customs declaration, and are under
the control of the customs authorities of the country of
destination.United
States' Federal Law allows citizens to order cigarettes
from other countries paying duty upon delivery. All our parcels have and
always have had a custom declaration stamp on them.
The customs declaration is an importation request, and mail can not be
seized in such case.
The only correct thing that should be done by the authorities is to ask
you
for payment of duty taxes to retrieve the parcels.
Remember that international legislation allows you to reject the parcels
and have them returned to the sender if for any reasons
you are not satisfied of your purchase. Unfortunately, at the moment, we
can
not say whether the seizure at JFK will continue or not,
and we hope to clarify our position in a short time. Please do not hesitate
to contact us for any further question you have, and rest assured that we
are investigating the matter to resolve this unfortunate situation.
Thank you in advance for your understanding,
Best Regards,
Alberto

here's another article of the story from NY Daily News, that has this line;

"But the feds were so overwhelmed by the quantity of illegal cigarettes coming in that they called the Swiss shipper behind the scam, Otamedia, and told it to stop sending the smokes, the source said."

Exclamation DHL is being used by Swiss Post (and a lot of other postal agencies) for certain transports. Therefore, it is very likely that the DHL airplane seized in JFK was transporting a sizeable amount of yesmoke orders. Hence, everyone who had a shipment from yesmoke on that plane will soon get a friendly request from U.S. tax authorities to pay up. Anyone that ordered more than what can be realistically be consumed by one person may have a much bigger problem at hand... And, if yesmoke happened to sell to individuals that have been reselling, they will have a huge problem, too.

YS is just trying to buy some time. I know because I have estimated that my clients (former) have at least 300 cartons on that plane & there is no way that they will be released to the recipients.

I've been refunding my clients and am just waiting until I have collected all the data for the missing orders to chargeback YS through my credit card bank to recover my funds.

It's sad, sure looks to me like the DF cig trade is going the way of the Dinosaur.....which means I'm goin back to a real job.

Good luck everyone!

My postman that I know well, said he hasn't delivered any cigarettes for several weeks. Before that there was quite a few shipments. But he said they haven't been told anything.

All shipments must have been stopped-not just this one plane load at JFK.
