This is definitely the nastiest campaign I remember. Maybe because it's gone on far too long and most of us are just plain fed up. Hell, I've called a few men the dreaded "c" word lately I'm THAT disgusted with the government..........LOL

The primary reason this one has beaten me down so much is, I know this is it-the end of the country as I once knew it-gone forever, and so will be smokers, gun owners, and anything or anyone else they don't like. It'll be run by the media (still), sort of like the Nazis, but with a more gentle facade. The other thing is-it started as soon as the 06 elections were over. We never got a break-it's the longest one in history (pretty fitting for the end of the constitution, I guess).

I hear you Dark.....I don't things improving, just getting worse. I'm just trying to figure out how I'm going to survive it, for I will NOT bow down to a socialist society. And it's hard to plan ahead when you live paycheck to paycheck.

I was one of the last remaining 'lucky' ones that saw a small pension and social security. I feel sorry for my kids and grandchildren, because I don't know how they're going to make it in old age-you can't work until you drop, because your body won't allow it, plus no one will hire you if you're over 50. I used to dye my hair when I was looking for a job. Both McCain and Obama (a fellow smoker) have said they intend to sign the tobacco control/FDA bill. Some senator from SC(a dem, I think) intends to try to block it somehow, but I don't know the details. I wish I could turn the clock back to about 1945. Sorry, I'm rambling-too tired. Time to stop for tonight.
