The lefties at Smoke Free Ohio are runing ads teling people to call their state rep to stop the legislature from amending Ohio's anti-smoking law.
They liberal bedwetters are whining like scalded dogs. They are tenacious in their effort to stop public smoking.
BTW...........in N. Ky they came within one vote of banning smoking. So now they are regrouping and trying to change a vote. They will not give up. |

| I told you before to pack this idea in your ass, because it's going NOWHERE. Had they ACTED and taken a vote, perhaps-but you DON'T TALK about it for months and months while the ALERTED (by them) opposition gets organized. You think their 'squeals like scalded dogs' or whatever are funny. I'm making a prediction here and now. BOOKMARK this theread, people-I'm of the understanding they only have 19 votes now. They need twenty-something. Not gonna happen now-and it sure as hell won't happen in january-because0(drum roll): By January, they'll be 2 to 4 more votes short. Either due to not getting re-elected due to letting the media get wind of this (media will start a vendetta)-therefore they won't care. Or 2). There will be so many get frightened by the power and hatred of the backlash that they chicken out(mainly the ones who just squeak by in november). You heard it first here. DEEDS-not WORDS. The f&*^(ng Democrats would NEVER do this [doodee]. They'd pass something in the middle of the night without any advance warning, or it would be tacked into another bill, and well-hidden,. Like I said-they don't call the pubs the stupid party for nothing. The Dems would have had this voted on within a week of conception, had it been anti-smoker. |

| I just talked to "Taxkiller" Tom Brinkman and he talked to the author of the smoking amendment bill a few days ago and everything still looks good. So 19 votes sounds about right, since a majority is 17 votes. There are 33 state senators. |

Well, here you go. As I said, the Nazis are becoming more and more aware of this, and becoming more and more organized. 2 to four LESS votes the gutless bazturds will have in November than they have now. Watch.

A Slap In the Face to Ohio Voters

Ohioans in 2006 passed the Smoke Free Ohio law which implemented a
statewide ban on indoor smoking. That was less than 2 years ago. And
it passed with 58.5% of the vote, according to the Ohio Secretary of
State. So, the question I have is, why would you poke the angry bear
by trying to overturn a law that was backed so overwhelmingly at the
ballot box?
Next time you see a State Senate GOPer, ask them, because that is
exactly what they are doing with Senate Bill 346. 127 SB 346 would
create exemptions for private clubs, family-owned businesses, and
outdoor patios. These are stronger exemptions than were in the
tobacco industry-sponsored Issue 4 which Ohio voters trashed at the
polls with 64% of the vote against.
I can't believe they would try to sneak through in a lame duck
session a law that was so soundly rejected by voters less than 2
years ago. If this somehow makes it through the Assembly before
adjournment, Gov. Strickland should veto it. Until then, let them
know we're watching by following this link to the American Cancer
Society and sending your state legislator a message to oppose SB
346.

I REPEAT: 2 to 4 less votes for this in November than they have now (I have heard they have either 16 or 19 votes at this time, 17 are needed to pass). And don't forget the veto pen of the RAT guv. This is going down in flames due to timidity, fear of the media, and sheer stupidity. |

Smoking bans mean: it is against the law to use or permit a legal product on 'private' property.
Is this the American Way??
The land of the Free?
Smoking bans are not about health and they never were about health.
It is all about:
1. Quarantine/isolate the smoker
2. Denormalize smoking.
Unfortunatley, the hospitality industry is caught in the cross-fire.
