howdy
About a month ago I started doing the make your own method mainly because I like smoking and I want to save some money on the cost. I bought one of the Top injector machines and a box of tubes and Ive been good to go since. One thing I have noticed though, is that when inject the tube with tobacco, there is always a small space between the filter and the cigarette. If I pack the cigarettes, it helps but then there is a decent amount of space at the end of the tube where its absent any tobacco. Any suggestions on this? Ive tried different types of tobacco, different tubes, and re-loading a small amount and re-injecting...all that seems to do is tear the tube though.
Also, would a top-o-matic eliminate this problem? Ive been considering picking one up. Thanks. |

While you can certainly make decent sticks with that machine with enough practice, a crank style injector will alleviate the problem faster and easier. Either the Supermatic C, EXP or last but not least, Topo, will have you making packs much faster and far more uniform, easier. You could also get a Premier HH, as they are the easiest of the HH's, imo. For even more info on anything and all RYO related, go to www.ryorevolution.com , its free too and features a live chat for immediate feedback. Another good info site is http://stuffingyourown.com/Whats_New/. Between these three sites, I doubt you ll be lacking for answers. Good luck!

| I'd recommend a Bugler brand injector. I've had experience with the Top injector and they are nice if you're into smoking the paper and not the tobacco. |

| Well, I have a Top Injector, and while I initially had trouble filling the tube, I found it was necessary to adjust the slider on the bottom by small centigrades depending on whether I was using a king size filter tube, an unfiltered 100cm tube, or whathave you. I'd say 90% of the time I get well-filled tubes. |
