I'm glad she wasn't hurt any worse but I suspect others will think twice before whining about smoking on the station platforms in the UK.
They want a WAR on smoking so there WILL be collateral damage. |

I feel nothing whatsoever. I recall when a woman was beaten and raped while going outside a place to smoke at night. In England, another was raped and killed. In the states a few winters ago, a guy was in the 'smoking area' outside a jobs program building (which consisted of 4 supports and a roof-no walls-can't allow smokers to be comfortable) when it collapsed from snow on its roof. He was killed. Another woman fell to her death from a balcony or roof on a hotel because she had to go there to smoke. The repeated mantra was "If they weren't smoking, they wouldn't have been there, and it wouldn't have happened." So my response to this incident is: "If she wasn't a rabid smoker-hater, this wouldn't have happened." TOO....BAD! Wouldn't matter to me if she'd have died.
I used to have compassion, but they taxed it and legislated it out of existence. |
