"Do we operate under a system of equal justice under law?
Or is there one system for the average citizen
and another for the high and mighty?"
- Senator Ted Kennedy, 1973 - (The Mary Jo incident was 1969)
I imagine there are a lot of you who are saying 'poor ted' regarding one of our greatest enemies. Not me. You may recall the thread we once started wherein many of us agreed that our former penchant for mercy, sorrow, and compassion for our fellow man had dwindled away to next to nothing, or disappeared altogether. Twenty years of being treated like something less than human will have that effect on you. Call it yet another thing in the law of unintended consequences. No-not necessarily saying I'm glad he got (probably terminal)cancer, not quite at that point-yet-but no sympathy at all here. I'm just not concerned and have no feelings one way or the other, any more than I would be if Clinton(either), Waxman, Richardson, Corzine, Thune, Taft, or any other politician regardless of party, who has treated me like a piece of scum lower than a child molester for at least 20 years were to be diagnosed with it. So sue me. Call me hard-core. I am. I told everyone years ago, anyone who'd listen-that we NEEDED to get hard-core, and be as filled with hatred for them as they are for us. IT'S WHY THEY WIN. I remember some of things I've read them say through theyears-that smokers deserve to die, that the world would be better without us, we were unredeemable vile filth, on and on -from the likes of Glantz, Banzahf, etc;and to a slightly lesser degree from the Waxmans, Kennedys, Pelosis, Huckabess, etc; of the world. One more extremely powerful enemy that won't be around much longer, and I've lived long enough to see it. It was, if you must know, one of my hopes in life-that I'd manage to outlive him (old American Indian proverb-"My enemy grows older")Plus, this one, while crucifying tobacco users, was an alcoholic, a womanizer, a hypocrite, and at the very least, guilty of manslaughter...but all those things are fine in politics, and he was revered as a God. But not by me. Sorry, folks-as I said.....if I am to be less than human....so I will be. My compassion has long gone. I would much rather it would have been Waxman, Banzahf, or Glantz than you...but-no matter. Goodbye, Ted. Sometimes what goes around does actually come around. |

I feel the exact, same way.
Ted Kennedy has killed more people with his car, than all the smokers in the world have killed with their cigarettes. |

| I honestly don't know how anyone could muster any sympathy for this freedom hating, murdering crook. I really just don't. |

| I wonder when they will get around to blaming it on being exposed to his brother Jacks Cubans some 45 years ago? |

| JFK and Jackie-O both smoked cigs, too, although they've been airbrushed out of most photos any more. The whole family is nothing but turds and hypocrites. Maybe they could blame it on all that fine Irish whiskey over the years, too. |
