Thank you all for your civility and listening. I understand that this forum is mainly a smokers support forum and I appreciate your ear.

Lynda, you said something about me having the need for '..thicker skin..'. Mr. williams you mentioned something along the lines of: '... smelling of roofing tar...' All of these types of statements/remarks are off the mark. It seems to me that anger is driving emotions here. These responses point more towards angry defense and not much else. Being ''Mad as hell'' does sometimes come into play as the only way. Our history shows it! It is one thing about america that is why we are America. Sometimes riots on the streets is the way when there is nothing left.

I do agree that the movement against smoking is- way radical! As I have said before.

Now. The reason I am here is because I wanted to see for myself the attitude, the temper, mood etc of those that I may be assisting. I shouldn't even be here. It is the job of those that are on my staff. But I wanted, for once, to see for myself what is going on instead of relying on watchdog reports etc that are provided to me where I am expected to trust these reports. I may not be the brains behind how monies are distributed but I am the source of the money and I give the yay or nay.

Anyway, I have seen enough of both sides: smokers adv and Non/Anti smokers adv. Of all the smokers forums I have viewed all include, as a majority, anger driven misconstrued reasons for maintaining a particualr tactic instead of just saying: ''screw it! I want to smoke regardless of so called discomforts of others''.

I want to help your cause by providing assitance for a fair fight. But the atmosphere here, as well as seemingly within the entire sphere of the smokers body, is too charged with anger. Until you have a rational leader, that can present strong lobby support by means of reasonable representation, I really cannot see how I can help.

I will not come to this site or any others again. I will leave that up to the others. I will learn of signifigant changes through normal channels.

Thanks. Good luck to you all.

First of all, as the owner of this website, let me just state that all are welcome here to rant as they wish, for or against smoking.

That being said, I think you are a greatly disturbed and highly delusional person. We are supposed to believe that you are a "source of funds" and have "people working for you" ... so you are some great billionaire god who was going to fund the entire smoker's rights movement, eh? You are obviously just really fvcked up in the head, and should seek help immediately.

And I never said you are "smelling of roofing tar" - in the post you are referring to I was talking about how anti-smokers would ban roofers who hang out in bars because they don't like the way they smell - the same reason many people ban smoking in bars, just because of the smell, not because it's bad for you.

I for one am glad a fvcking mental case and insane idiot like you will not be coming back here. Dumbass.

Then you really haven't learned anything, have you? You haven't really listened to what was said and the reasons for it. You just assume all smokers want to blow smoke in the faces of non-smokers. All we want are a few bars and restaurants where we can still sit civilally and have a smoke with our drinks or after dinner without getting up to go outside into whatever weather element is present.

Did you know that some women have been raped while standing out in the "approved smoking area alley" having a smoke? For obeying the law they were raped and the anti response is "then quit smoking and you won't be raped". And you don't get the anger? I know of another woman in England who was beaten up to a pulp by some punk teen for smoking out where she was told to smoke. Said teen punk's father's response was that she should quit smoking to avoid any future beatings. Google it.......you'll find them.

And you think we are just irrational and angry? Yes we ARE angry and even you haven't answered the burning question. WHY DO YOU NEED EVERY SINGLE BAR/CLUB/RESTAURANT TO BE SMOKE FREE?

I was polite and considerate when the rules were reasonable, but this open season on discrimination and harrassment against smokers put an end to that.

If you take offense at that, so be it. Sounds like you don't believe smokers have a right to be angry OR to express that anger. At least we are NOT beating up non-smokers or raping them. Your side can't say the same thing.

IP track him Bill, bet he's writing from a public library, and can't afford a CPU of his own.
Sounds like his think tank style of thought process came from the sci fi isle.

Good point - I looked up the IP address. It's coming from Amsterdam, NL. Usually the ONLY people coming here from that range of IPs is hackers. This is either just some spammer or someone looking for vulnerabilities to attack in the website. In any event, it's no American.

Why am I here? I'm here to defend smokers rights, and to help any new lurkers on this site realize smokers are receiving similar 2nd class treatment Blacks used to receive decades ago.

If you wanna preserve simple freedoms like the freedom to smoke and the freedom to eat in a restaurant even if you obese, then you basically have to do what older generations of Blacks used to do. And that's fight, have protests/rallies, and in the case of smokers, I sincerely hope fighting for smoking freedom doesn't go as far as a smoker getting murdered by an anti for simply being a smoker.

I wouldn't rule out that possiblity on serious prosmokers getting murdered only because antis hate smokers as much as the hardcore racists out here still hate the fact "we" will always be legal US citizens. Antis are like a smoking version of a KKK in otha words.

Tomorrow, the fascists out here might take away my freedom to buy junk food in a store.

Good Riddance. I'm 100% behind Lynda-the reason we're slowly dying as a country is the fact we've been brainwashed with years of PC teaching to the point where we've lost the capacity for anger. Anger is normal and healthy, and is actually a good thing if the energy is channeled properly. Look back over history-NO great change in America ever occurred without demonstrations, anger and violence. None. Whether it was the Tea Party,Prohibition or the repeal thereof, Women's rights, Civil Rights, on and on.
