Yep-and non-smokers just laugh at you and say "If you don't like it, all you have to do is quit." Evil or Very Mad Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation

Hmmmm...wonder if the reverse of that is true?....if you do like it start smoking....well...

at any rate when the tax revenues drop to zilch as people do quit and/or find safe alternates to paying the taxes...guess who is sure as hades gonna get stuck with paying for all those programs....'cause we all know the programs aren't ever going to be recinded.

Oregon's first stab at universal health care some years back damned near bankrupted the state within 3 years as we knew it would. Every dead beat, illegal immigrant, homeless person, and AIDs patient able to get up and move started pouring in. For three years the state was forced to drop services offered until it came to consist pretty much of a free eye exam and papsmear once every 2 years... Wink ...didn't learn their lesson though, next month they try again. The funny thing is all Oregunners think they are so much smarter than say West Virginians or Missisippians and such. Though after 20 years here I find the Oregunners themselves to be a pretty primitvie and backward lot. Talk about easily fooled and manipulated. P.T.Barnum must have been in Oregon when the said one was born every minute.

NJ came up with an archaic law that says it can confiscate the records of companies that do business with NJ residents from out of state, something to do with interstate commerce.

And you notice they ONLY use that archaic law for cigarette sales? When they start using it for ALL internet sales, when they start stopping state license plates returning to the state from out of state and checking for purchases that were bought to avoid taxes, THEN they might have a good argument.

Right now this is just outright discrimination against smokers. Harassment.

I agree as I am in same situation facing big tax bill in Ct harrasment yes we should be able too sue also discrimination as well smokers unite
