| Sorry, John, I'm using dial-up for a while longer, and I waited five minutes before I gave up. |

Say Pat,
Its been awhile --- good to hear that you're still kicking.
I thought that you had left the building
Guess that the move didn't go down. Was looking forward to tippin a cold one and smokin a pack or two while it's still legal (or not)
The decatur ban was one of those overnite got yas that got caught. Til people get mad and do something about it,it's only gonna get worse.

Jan 1 is gonna be the saddest day in IL history. Illinois doesn't mind stealing my money (in the form of me paying all kinds of Fked-up taxes). But they do mind if I'm smoking in any place within this state as of Jan 1.
Aside from a new female friend in my life (who smokes Newports herself), these cigs are the only pleasure I have. I agree with the "Leave me the hell alone!"
I always thought smokers get similar treatment as my friend and I get for just being US citizens. But did you know smokers are treated as INCOME slaves too? Politicians like to raise as many taxes as possible in order to make smokers their income slaves. As in "If you gonna smoke, then fill up my d@mn pocket with your tight money!"
I'm not gonna fill up your pocket you SOB for a politician. I'm gonna fill up your face with smoke instead if you want my honest feelings on banning my first real plesure in life! |

I checked that site out, and didn't see the vid that you were trying to allude to. But I do know about the Decatur, AL ban that you're trying to cite, and was very angry that their mayor decided to go along with the BS of what anti groups(such as the ACS) wanted, and signed the ban into law anyway. This was also, IIRC, on top of the fact that Decatur, AL's mayor initally opposed a ban, when it was first debated a year ago(in 2006).
I think it's pretty sad that Decatur, AL did pass a 'comprehensive' ban. I know if I was forced to live there(and were in your shoes), I'd definately be trying to patronize businesses in the Florence-Muscle Shoals-Sheffield, AL area a LOT more(ditto for ones in the Guntersville-Albertsville-Boaz, AL area), since I believe neither of those areas have smoking bans at all. I'm a person who heavily follows smoking ban issues throughout the country, so that's how I knew this(unless someone can prove me wrong otherwise). |

dumpstermcnuggets,
"and were in your shoes" -----you'd have sore feet
I don't live there and now I wont shop there
They have a few horse droppings on the council and the mayor is a biggun.
