Recently used the Memphis Airport and found a single restaurant inside where one could smoke. E-mailed the aiport and was assured that within the next year there will be at least one more "smoking area".
Can't help but wonder if all the smokers who end up there were to send their opinions to the airport that they wouldn't find it in their hearts to put up a smoking room where smokers could go WITHOUT placing an order.
Also, there are airports that do have smoking areas indoors and it wouldn't hurt to give a positive word or two to those who do.
We can't be heard if we don't speak up. Crazielollie |

| That's great. They're gonna add a smoking area. You have a great idea to thank airports with smoking areas. We have the Atlantic City airport in NJ that has smoking areas. Let's applaud the AC international airport. Can anyone think of othes in the US? |

Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA) has a smoking room. I'll E-mail the one you mentioned.
Put this up as an idea. Actually, I flew for the first time in 35 years recently. That's because I'm originally from Chicago and now live in SW MO, almost in Arkansas. Until recently, I could drive faster than I could get there by plane. Think it's a great idea for those who do fly though as I did get responses from all 3 airports so somebody is listening to what we have to say as customers. (Also makes me think there aren't too many taking advantage of this fact) Crazie |

| I just went to Las Vegas, and they have several smoking areas. The restaurants and bars in the airport are all smoking too. That is a great airport. |

Tom,
I would hope that the airport in Vegas has a smoking area. Now that is a town that would not survive a smoking ban! Just think of the opposition from the gaming lobby if the idea were inroduced! |

| That's true. The whole state of Nevada is a smoking state. You can even smoke while food shopping. It is wonderful that the casinos bring the freedom. That's the # 2 reason why NJ is still a smoking state too, first being the tax revenue. We have a smoking section in our AC airport, and probably the only reason there's non in the Newark airport is NY's hand in the Port Authority. |

Well, shit, if you can smoke while food shopping I may go ahead & move there!!! I am 24, and don't even recall a time when people were allowed to smoke in supermarkets. Although, I know for fact there was such a time, and in California (of all places) by having seen the Arnold movie Twins. |

| It's a great state. They have lots of jobs, a high standard of living, low property taxes, and freedom. I hope I can get the courage to make a move like that. |
