I have a friend who never gets involved in anything political, she just tunes me out when I'm ranting about something. Recently, I told her about the proposed smoking bans. She has been a smoker for years and has no intentions on quitting, she doesn't want to. In fact, she went through two pregnancies smoking and both kids turned out fine. When she heard about the bans, that really fired her up. Like I said, she doesn't get upset about anything social or political. Also I have spoken with my husband about all this and he's a non-smoker and fully supports smokers' rights. He thinks the antis are a bunch of paranoid freaks. So there are so many people out there who support us, it's just the antis tend to be very vocal and make it appear like the majority of Americans feel this way - which is obviously not the case. We as smokers need to stay on top of what is going on in our communities or else we'll be left out in the cold . . . smoking.

I have been a pipe and cigar smoker for many years now. The recent anti-cig mail order law that went through the House and is now in the Senate and could end up going into effect later this year caused me to start doing more then just enjoy my hobby.

Some of our noble law makers added cigars (any tobacco products!) to the proposed banned mail order bill. I wrote my reps. about my views and did get a letter response.

My wife of 35 years is not a smoker BUT has no problem with my hobby. I even have a room in our house where I can go and enjoy my cigars and work on my other hobbies.

Things can be worked out with non-smokers BUT the anti-smokers do not appear to care about working together.

I thus fly the old Gadsden flag, both on my posts and in my yard.

DON'T TREAD ON ME!

So yet another person quick to tell me I am at fault. Why thank you!!
Why don't you come down on the real offender here. Our Senate and Prezzz
When I was growing up (and still trying here) the media targeted me for an addiction. Now that I am into it so deep I can't get out - It is my fault! Yes as an adult I know better however you obviously know nothing about addiction.
Read up and get back to me!
Don't mean to come accross as a B~~ch here but I am really tired of people like you who profit from my addiction then have the balls to say what you have.
I was encouraged to smoke - I formed an addiction - I am taxed out the butt - Pushed into a corner as to where I am allowed to smoke - and must listed to people like you who come to our website and act the fool.
Do you really think my smoke is more harmful to you than industry emissions!!!!!
Do you know of any one who smokes then got behind the wheel of a car and killed?
Don't you think you're sorry!
