Bingo hall closing over smoke ban
A bingo hall in Northamptonshire is set to close with the loss of 19 jobs due to the introduction of the smoking ban, its owner has told the BBC.
Stardust Bingo in Wellingborough has seen takings tumble by 16% since the government introduced a ban on smoking in enclosed places on 1 July.

The government has said the ban across England will improve the health of hundreds of thousands of people.

Brent Harding, Stardust Bingo's owner, blamed the government for the closure.

"We are very upset and annoyed about it. We have owned the club for two years, it has never been a very busy club but it was profitable at a low level," said Mr Harding.

"The smoking ban is the nail in the coffin."
