A user called daniz30 emailed me via the contact form:
I visited your site because I am writing my Masters degree thesis on
workplace smoking. I am totally against it. However, I have to the point of view of the smokers. I understand that you think you have the right to smoke anywhere you want. The government is not telling you that you can't smoke. It is telling you that you can't smoke in public places.
Why should I have to pay the consequences for your bad habit? Smoking makes me sick. I a places that allow smoking. However, smoking is allowed where I work.
Smokers think they have the right to smoke around people who don't want to be around it. Have you ever thought about those people? Think about this, I like to eat junk food. I can eat all the ice cream, cake, cookies, doughnuts, chocolate, fast food, pizza, etc. that I want and I don't gain weight. It doesn't affect my health. Most people can't do this, especially as they get older. If everytime I ate junk food, the calories went on your ass, I bet you would be pretty upset with me. You probably wouldn't want me to do this around you so you don't have to suffer because of my habit. This is what your cigarettes do to us. Maybe it doesn't affect your health, but it affect mine as well as many others.
So, do you have a right to smoke? Sure! Go ahead, kill yourself. BUT DON'T KILL ME IN THE PROCESS. |

You all think you have the right to smoke wherever you want. That would be fine if you were only harming yourself. But you are not. You are killing innocent people. If it only affected you, that would be one thing. But it doesn't. You are making innocent people suffer because of your habit.
Stop thinking of yourself and start respecting the people around you. Do you have the right to smoke? You sure do. But, that does not mean that I don't have the right to not be around it. You want to smoke. Go ahead. But keep it to yourself.
Banning smoking in public places is not violating your rights. It is protecting the rights of those of us who chose not to take up this nasty habit. |

I'd also tell her to get a new job if the smoke bothers her so much, there are more smoke-free workplaces than there are smoking permitted workplaces. Tell her to grow up, exercise her god-given "free will" and find employment more suitable to her needs.
And then point out that just because she hasn't the balls to make a decision for herself, doesn't give her the right to impose HER faults on the rest of the world either. Places she'll never set foot in should NOT be forced to abide by her preferences.
Then ask her how it is she is so far in college as to go for a Masters degree when she obviously can't handle 3rd grade English. |

Eating junk food is your right. It's impossible to throw calories on my ass. Just like it's impossible for my SHS to affect your health.
Oh, I won't kill you in the process, you big fvcking crybabies. Just don't come near me with that sheet, and you will survive afta dealing with me. LOL |

If this motha thinks a cig is no different from a weapon, I;d love to show this person a REAL weapon. Smoke makes this anti's eyes burn? AWWWWW...POOR BABY! I didn't even know cig smoke makes othas' eyes burn til now.
Smokers are far from being murders. Based on that a-hole's logic, my face oughta be on America's Most Wanted since I'm a "murderer" who refuses to quit smoking.
I'd like to demonstrate the real definition of "murder to this lowlife sheetball. I bet my actual weapon will make your WHOLE FACE burn. LOL |
