I was wondering what qty of cigs do you make in one sitting?
Do you usually make a cig at that time or a pack or a carton worth in one sitting. If you make a larger qty how do you store them. Any feedback or advice would be appreciated. |

I make 4-5 packs at a time and when I pack some up for the week-end in an empty baccy bag to the freezer.
It helps on those days that you don't have time or don't feel like messin with it.

I make a little over two cartons every Weekend for my husband and me: he says he can't figure out how to make them correctly - yeah, right...
But anyways -
I make them a week in advance and bought a cigar humidor to keep them at the right moisture level for the whole week. Every morning our ritual is to load up two plastic cigarette boxes and off we go...
Get some movies and shoot away in front of the telly... |

Sundays...............I put on a good movie to watch, set up, get comfortable and start making them.
I make enough for the week at least. I make about 8 packs in 2.5 to 3 hours. Watching a movie I've seen before makes the time go by fast, and the job done faster since I don't have to stop to watch often.
I store all my tobacco and made cigs in the refrigerator, take out a pack at a time (2 if going out just in case). |

I'd recommend storing the rolled smokes in a tupperware container, and place a pouch button humidifier in it.
We use the pouch buttons (about $1.25 each) in our tobacco sample jars at our Custom Blends locations. They hold about 8 to 10 oz of tobacco, and with the pouch buttons, the tobacco remains reasonably moist. I think they would work with your rolled smokes too.
BTW, you probably know this, but we don't recommend using the fridge/freezer for storing tobacco, because fridges tend to dry out the tobacco. Oh! Last thing: Ziplock bags work just about as well as tupperware. |
