Hi all,
In my recent surfing today, I headed over to yesmoke to get some quality cigs and noticed that the suit between them and PM will be taking place in NY on the 18th of this month. This leaves me with a quandry of questions, key among them: Where will you buy should PM succeed and close down yesmoke? |

Quite frankly, I haven't found any other respectable alternative yet. Most of the cheap online retailers are scam sites in Europe. The native american sites are OK, but more expensive.
More research will have to be done, but I don't think PM stands a chance.
Also, did you notice that Philip Morris is only going after yesmoke? That's because they really ARE the only respectable online retailer!!! |

Has Yesmoke received the Tobacco Award for "Most Trusted Online Tobacco Retailer" or something like that? I think that shop has received the award at least once.
I think PM is going after yesmoke for other reasons. The "only" respectable online retailer would imply yesmoke is the only one that does NOT report orders to the customers' states (and yesmoke isn't the only retailer like that). Yesmoke would get my vote (and I mean that) for "respectable online retailer" if I didn't have to wait for a whole week just to get my order.
I know they're not U.S. based, but still, why would I order cigs online if I gotta wait a whole week for receiving them? Suppose I have one pack left, and I have to force myself to smoke only 3 cigs/day until I get my yesmoke order? |

Jay;
Let's face it, all online retailers are going to have some delay in shipping. Some more than others - I've heard complaints that yesmoke doesn't have the fastest shipping. In fact, sometimes they're downright slow in some shipments.
But my point is that you're not supposed to wait until you have 1 pack left to order! I order 2 cartons every 2 weeks - they don't go bad! Most of the time I'm just finishing up my last pack when the next shipment comes.
But whichever online retailer you use, you must realize that if you have 1 pack left today, you still have to buy a pack from your local convenience store for $7 tomorrow. Why not ALSO order a carton online for $1.50 per pack??? Then when they come you will be saving yourself 10 trips back to that convenience store and those outrageous prices!!!
Online sales are not for immediate sale. They are for CHEAP sales!!! PLUS by NOT spending all that money on tobacco tax (which is what you do when you buy locally) we are sticking it to the gov't for screwing us with these taxes in the first place!
PAY NO TAX TO THE US GOV'T!!! REPEAL ALL ANTI-SMOKING BANS!!!

| I don't wait until I have 1 pack left before getting more cartons. I was being hypothetic in a sense. I buy 2 (sometimes 3) cartons at a time, and I order new ones when I reach 4 packs left in the only remaining carton for me. |
