I just talked to a producer at CNN's Paula Zahn Now show - they wanted to interview me to talk about the policy change in the MPAA's rating system which would change the way movies are rated if there is tobacco use shown in them.

BUT, after talking for a few minutes they changed their mind and said the segment was cancelled ... oh well, so close!

Hopefully someone takes a look at this issue, because this kind of discrimitation against smokers isn't going away.

I'll bet it would have been a very hostile piece anyway: I've noted several things Zahn's said: she's a true blue anti-tobacco (smoker-loathing) disciple.

Linkup;
I never really talked to them. By the time I called the producer back, I only had time to explain who I am and what smokinglobby is (a site which advocates smoker's rights, of course) and they told me the segment was bumped. But they did ask to keep my name and number in case another hot smoker's rights issue comes up and they need someone on our side of the cause.

Sorry - after reading my first post I see what you were asking. When I say they "changed their mind" it wasn't due to speaking with me. Apparently the head producers had bumped the segment before the person I was talking to knew about it.
