I buy People's True Taste tobacco in the 1 lb bag. I purchased a new bag today, to find that it apparently has a small hole somewhere, as my tobacco is drier than if I had left the bag open for weeks. I know that I can put the moisture back in by throwing in a moistened cotton ball. My question is - is it better to find some sort of Tupperware to store my tobacco in, or a heavy duty Ziploc bag? Thank you!

As a cigar and ciggy smoker, I've had experience with rehumidifying.

It really does not matter cause both are airtight. The only thing I can think of is the Ziploc will give off more "plastic" smell as it's not as solid as the Tupperware.

I heard you can also cut cut up a quarter of an apple or a section of carrot, and that rehumidifies. Plus gives it extra taste I imagine.

We use pouch buttons. They are small metal or plastic discs with an absorbent material in them. You just soak them in water for a bit, shake off the excess, and throw them right in with the tobacco. Picture at: http://www.customblends.com/webcart/search.php?search_string=Pouch+Button

As far as storage, many people use tupperware, but some use a clear plastic vacuum sealed canister. You can probably find those at any Target, Wal-Mart - any place that has a kitchen supplies section should have 'em.
