Hi! Hope this is the right place to put this. Hopefully a fellow Texan or anyone else that may know can help. I was wondering how buying cigs online and paying the taxes all work out. I will be buying online for the first time soon(Smokers Outlet Online). How exactly do you go about paying the taxes for the cigarettes? Do you just wait for the State to send you an invoivce then pay? Or what?

And if I'm buying a carton, do I pay taxes on the carton or each individual pack in the carton?(Think I know the answer to this one just want to make sure Embarassed )

Sorry if this doesn't make sense or is a stupid question. Confused Just want to make sure I have all my info before I dive into this. Any help would be very much appreciated! Very Happy

Trish;
I would order from a place which doesn't report the fact that you bought cigarettes, that way you don't have to pay tax at all. I would suggest cigmall.biz from the Ukraine (see the big banner at the top of the page).

If you don't, you will get a bill for tax on every pack of cigarettes, and after you pay for shipping you may as well have just bought the pack at the local convenience store.

They don't sell cigarettes at Smokers Outlet Online, so you must be advertising here for free. Trish,advertising without permission on this site is very expensive.Do you want to pay $259.00 or delete your post? Or admit to Fraud and deception? IMO,you are a fake,and an advertiser.

LOL - way to get go after her linkup!
I didn't bother checking who that company was, so they slipped one by me.

In my old age, though, I'm getting more tolerant of these advertisers. As long as they don't blatantly spam us with links or disrupt us too much, I'm willing to ignore them. (Used to be a time I'd ban their entire IP block!)

I'm not here to advertise at all! Don't know whether to laugh or be offended. I KNOW that Smokers Outlet does not sell cigarettes. I've been looking at purchasing the Smokin Joes Little Cigars. I said cigarettes because it was a general question. Even though they sell little cigars, I'm sure they are treated the same way legality wise. So I said cigarettes. Wow, didn't know that saying that word would be a big deal with asking such a question...

And if I was advertising I would've just placed a link on here. That would be the easiest thing to do wouldn't it?

I would have been better off asking for advice somewhere else. But I figured this would be a great place to ask the question, I was wrong. Thank you for your warm welcome.

Sorry to pounce on you, Trish. Sometimes we're a bit jumpy on this board - between the anti's which come on to flame us, and the advertisers who come on to sell us, we've got our hands full!

But if you want to know about a place that sells cigars, you should talk about cigars, so that noone will confuse your intentions.
