Just wanted to say, HI to everyone on the board.
I live down here in central Mississippi and we have also felt the boots of the HN (Hellth Nazis) here in the southeast USA attempting to make eating establishments and bars smoke free. So far... they have not been able to get their way BUT they do seem to keep working at it! |

| Thanks Rich, and welcome. Without a smoking base in the south, I don't know where we'd be. I'm from Jersey. We're also free to smoke in our state, but if the south started banning smoking, I would hate to think what our govt officials would do. Keep up the good work, you're doing great. |

Hey Rich,
Glad to see one of my next door neighbors in here (I'm from Louisiana).
Yes, it's true, while the anti-smoking bastards are trying slowly to ban smoking (in establishments) in the South they have not suceeded thus far. Thank God for that.
I'm sorry you all for my long absence (I did indeed find a job in accounting, and my boss is a smoker). Besides the smoking, we have a lot of other things in common, so it's really cool working for him and knowing he doesn't [beeyotch] if I want to go outside and smoke.
I'm going to try to be on here more often (just been very very busy lately with taxes and whatnot). |

| Welcome back Rick. I'm so glad your boss is a smoker. That must be great. My boss at my weekend job is a smoker, and that's wonderful. It's a great feeling to light up whereever or whenever you want to, isn't it. Good luck with the new job. |

Thanks Tom, I am glad to be back - although with new time constraints on me.... it's tough going to school part-time and working full-time and my hat's off to anyone who has had to do that.
I wouldn't say I can light up whereever or whenever I want to (I still have to go outside), however it's not that bad since there are 2 porch's to the building
I will try to continue the fight for the smokers, as I feel it is a very worthy cause indeed! To that end, has anyone e-mailed their senators/govt. reps. about the proposed ban/tax on the online sales of cigs?
I know I e-mailed mine, and they never responded, so I will keep on e-mailing them |
