| The cigarettes made in the Philippians are a lot cheaper for some reason. I never tried name brands that were made in there, but I tried a carton of Move brand cigarettes when I went to Richmond, VA. They were only $6.99/carton in a store. That was the cheapest I've seen cigarettes, so I thought it would be fun to try them. They weren't too bad. |

| All I know the Philippines gets a lot of tobacco from the US, so I'd think these cigarettes would sting a little more than the European made cigarettes. I would like to do a study on this sometime in the near future. I personally love the way US cigarette makers blend our stingy burley and bright with smooth turkish tobacco. You get the best of both worlds, that little bite that goes down smoothly. I think Philippines has more bite (American tobacco), and I know EU tobacco has less bite and are smoother. I would love to hear if anyone knows if I am right on this hypothesis on the Philippines. Great topic Irishguy. |
