If i travel to john f kennedy airport can i buy cheaper cigarettes and what are the prices and how many cartons can i buy. My brand is kool kings box.

They're about $30 a carton. I'm not sure if there is a limit, but you have to actually be traveling overseas. They check your passport, and you have to be through security before you even see the shops. They're also stamped "FOR USE OUTSIDE THE US," so if you bring them back, they will be mad if they find out. Don't do that.

Ok thanks didn't know you had to be flying out of country to purchase them. It's just that cigarettes in nyc are so expensive.

Currently the limits are 2 cartons or 400 cigarettes PER PERSON and that means if you have a 5 year old with you they are entitled to the 2 cartons also.

You can bring them back as most airports outside the US have duty free shops and you can purchase cigaretts and booze and perfume and bring them all back. Thy only frown if you violate the limits. All limits are shown on the little white form you fill out when traveling out of the country before you land. Be careful, the cigaettes that you would buy in the Caribbean or Mexico are usually stale. Australia and Europe have fresh. Be wary of the cartons that are wrapped in celophane.
