| Well let's see you called Health officails "Nazis"...Mmmm that doesn't seem quite right. If you want to put your life in danger and ignore health warnings, then by all means do so, but do not call those who are concerned about health issues "Nazis". By calling them Nazis you are showing your own ignorance on the subject of history. Nazis were supporters of Hitler....and horrible people. They were interested in killing and hurting others. Health officails often try to warn the public of dangers and risks to health, and save many lives while their at it. So they can't be Nazis, now can they? |

WRONG Nazis were fascists who limited individual freedoms by banning lifestyle choices, such as religion AND smoking. Yep, it's true. Adolf Hitler was the last government official before the US to ban smoking on a federal level. Now, the US has not banned it on a federal level just yet, but they are quickly coming to that, unless we say no to Hitler II now!
Vote smoking! Say no to Nazism! |

I like this quote. I wonder if it's possible to put it on a bumper sticker and sell it on the net, preferably to those who live in nazi states (such as NY, CA, and MA). You know, I had an interesting chat with someone outside of my night class one evening. We were outside smoking, and she said that it was nice to be able to smoke outside. I asked her where else would she smoke? And then she said she had just moved from California.... I said "Ohhhhhhh, that explains a lot". I got to talking to her, and she said it's gotten really really bad there (these posts that we see are absolutely true....).
It's a sad commentary on American freedom when one cannot enjoy a smoke outside, yet the car/bus belching toxic fumes is completely acceptable. |

| That is just too true, Rick. The truly sad commentary is that non-smokers don't understand the need to support everyone's freedom, even if they don't view it as popular or the same as thier own. They need to embrace diversity and liberty. |

I am a non-smoker and I am understand freedom, have fought for it, and support it wholey, so, it is NOT that I do NOT understand, I JUST believe smoking is size=12]NOT[/size] a right............. Just a privledge that has long gone unchecked. people now just want the norm to be non-smoking in public places, BUT, like ANY change, there will be resistance. Lets face it, a hundred years ago, you would find a spitoon in your local eatery.... personally, I doubt even smokers would want that next to thier dinning table.
Diversity ALSO means non-smoking in places, but unfortiunately, that is often forgotten when someone is passionate about a love of thiers... in this case, the ciggarette.
I pride myself on my understanding. I have never smoked. I dont think those who do are anything but that.. a person who smokes,,,, not bad,, not good,, just another guy who makes his/her own choices. I do take issue with being called a Nazi............. such an overused term when folks hate a certain thing. Health police.. hahah love that one. I think people should do what they want as long as it does NOT interfere with others.... unfortunely,, smoking does. Even the freedom of speech which IS a right is a good thing, until it is misused |

As usual, you are WRONG.
The term Nazi as used here pertains to a fascist, i.e., you, or anyone who hides behind (or uses) laws to limit personal freedom. Smoking is also irrelevant as the freedom, it can be any freedom. Consider free speech. People like you are simply not happy until everyone looks, acts, and does exactly what you do. Join the taliban and the nazis as enemies of the true, free, American people. |

BWilliams, I am SURE you are passionate about your love of smoking.. and honestly.. I could care that you do or dont........ but damn man,, go have a smoke,, cause you are about to burst an artery. |
