HI Sally,
I had the chance to try some of the Fresh Choice tobacco the other day. I was the Fresh Coice Light tobacco. I can say without a doubt that the texture/consistancy of your tobacco, compared to mine is much different. A good analogy would be like the difference between Spaghetti vs. Angel Hair pasta. In other words, my tobacco (Peoples True Taste, sorry I stated Peoples choice earlier and that was incorrect) would be more like spaghetti, thicker shreds compared to the FC tobacco which was a finer shred. At the same compaction settings it did help a little bit, I wasn't getting the real tight packs, but on the other hand, if I hand packed it afterwards (hitting the butt on the table) I would only wind up with a half of a cig. I increased the compaction level 2 notches and saw somewhat better results but after hitting the butt on the table, I'd get 3/4 of a smoke but I also started to experience some hard spots within the cig. I made a total of 3 packs at various compaction levels and wound up throwing about 1 pack away.  I did smoke the ones I kept and honestly, I didn't care for the flavor, it wasn't bad, but it seemed to have hints of harshness (in my opinion). So in light of the fact that I don't care for you brand of tobacco, I'll either have to devise a way to better prepare my tobacco or try another brand. I'm not giving up on it yet. |

I order some fresh tobacco too now. You can add sugar some type of sweetener to it. Just mix sugar in a water sprayer, and spray your tobacco with it. Let it dry and the harshness will go away. For the harsher tobacco, I also use it for clove or menthol cigarettes. Just take some dried mint from your spice dept or ground cloves and add it in the chamber when you make the cigarette. There's much you can do with fresh tobacco. Be creative. |

i recently purchased a fresh choice cigarette system, it is the best investment i made. It was pricey, but it does do as the company claimes. makes a perfect cigarette.
i did a carton of cigarettes perfect draw, perfect fill five minutes after i got the machine.
Here in New York city cartons go for over 75 dollars each, with this machine it is a better fresher cigarette and the cost will cover the machine in six cartons of cigarettes.
the internal parts of the machine is made of some kind of very strong composite material that makes it feel and perform like a real comercial machine. its fun and easy to operate. Once you understand the easy to read directions and follow them, its smooth sailing and cartons upon cartons of perfect cigarettes. |

Realistically, I can make a carton in under an hour while watching tv. this time includes running clean cycles every couple of packs and the separation of the tobacco for each pack and hand tamping each smoke. What is nice, and the real time saver, is the fact that while I hand tamp each smoke, the machine is filling up for the next smoke at the same time. When I'm done tamping, I'm already to insert another tube and push the load button, repeat. When I had my Premier Excell, I could only get about 4 packs done in an hour while watching tv, including the hand tamping, but I had to do more hand tamping because with the Excell, it don't always get the tobacco to the filter. This machine gets it to the filter, I tamp only to roll the edge over.
Although their website says $449 for the machine, I've seen them on Ebay for as low as $350 (+shipping) and I got mine at a local tobacco dealer for 375 out the door. I smoke 2 packs a day and I like having 200 smokes in the fridge waiting for me instead of having to devote an 30 mins to an hour each day to hand stuffing. Now i devote 1 hour every 5 days. |
