But there's probably a better than fair chance that even if his opponent in the last election had won, the legislation would've been passed anyway.

Show me a candidate, incumbent or challenger, anywhere who has ever ACTIVELY advocated repealing EXISTING smoking ban legislation and I'll show you where my vote is going.

But of course.....the day I hear of that politician I'm quite certain pigs will fly out of my ass.

Here in Hennepin County MN recently, a smoking ban was relaxed for a period of time....18 months or so.... but that's a FAR CRY from actually repealing it.

If anybody's got anything that would cause me to expel winged swine I'd be very interested in seeing it.

Awesome, Naptown! That was a great link. We need more folks like that.

I think this is a good place to list all anti-politicos, and, hopefully, MORE PRO-FREEDOM ones as well.

I guess I should have qualified my statement with "a candidate that has better than a snowball's chance in Hell of winning" but, dutifully, here goes....(I hope they're small piglets).

EEEEEEEEYYYYYYAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!

Whew....glad that's over.

By the way, Sue WILL get my vote but, with VERY few exceptions, the only cards ever shown before election are PRO-BAN.

Nothing pisses me off more than voting for someone only to have them turn into a smoke nazi as soon as they get into office.

I have a faint recollection of the same thing being said of Jesse "the mind" Ventura a few years ago...

I love this article...BAN CHILDREN!

Naptown:

I found this excellent list of anti-smoker politicos you posted on another thread. I thought this would be a good place for it. -

the following politicians voted YES for ANTI SMOKER Pennsylvania legislation House Bill 1489:

George Kenney (R)
Katie True (R)
Beverly Mackereth (R)
Jake Wheatley (D)
Susan Cornell (R)
Patricia Fleagle (R)
M. Gingrich (R)
Julie Harhart (R)
Stephen Maitland (R)
Douglas Reichley (R)
Chris Ross (R)
Katherine Watson (R)
Kathy Mandarino (D)
Fred Mcllhattan (R)

it's fairly obvious that we can no longer depend on party allies...

Is there really that much of a difference these days?

By looking at some voting records, it's hard to say who is who. That's when the (R) and (D) come into play. It identifies the little critters.

At least when people are voting their freedom away, they can have the fuzzy-good- feeling that their party is in control of it.
