hi everybody
of one thing i forgot to mention is that when the total ban is introduced next year, there will be one location over here that serves alcohol where you will still be allowed to have a smoke
the House Of Commons bar-central government where Blair et all sit and make decisions that change our lives forever

| Dave, it's the same here. All the fat-fucks on capitol hill can have a stogie indoors while they figure out new and interesting ways to steal our money, and our freedom. |

Dave:
Same situation over here. There are areas in the Capitol building where smoking is permitted and carried on with fervor. Concessions even sell cigarettes at a discounted rate compared to local prices. All of this to the chagrin of local anti activists. And all of this happens within the territory of the District of Columbia which just passed a ban.
As I said before, power and money does what power and money wants to do.

Let's hear it for democracy. |

hi everybody
thanks for your comments
i forgot to mention that our members of parliament are now on their summer break which last until the middle of October
there were pictures in the press showing them drinking champagne and smoking on the balcony on their last day of work
i apologise for going off on a tangent here, but i am spitting blood thinking about those pictures and the obvious contempt those in power have for the people who put them their in the first place-they ban smoking everywhere and then have the front to smoke big cigars in front of us
the erosion of freedoms continues

"I apologise for going off on a tangent here"
No apology needed, Dave. This pisses us all off. It is disgraceful how they behave. All for me, and none for thee.
Some leaders. They need to have their asses hung out to dry. |
