Has anyone noticed that the various brands of filter tubes have different length filters? The colored paper on the outside is the same length but part of that is hollow because the filter is short. This makes for a harsh, hot smoke. does anyone know of a brand of filter tubes that have longer filters?

PS. Try gluing a Marlboro filter to your RYO cigarette using the glued edge from a rolling paper. I think it makes a much smoother smoke.

Thanks!

If you're just starting out you may want to check out

http://syo.dalrun.com/ and

http://www.ryomagazine.com/

The harshness can be adjusted by packing a tighter smoke, moisture content and lite-tobacco.

If all else fails ---try a MAGIC 25 filter

Hope this helps

you could also try the premier brand of tubes, i use the king sized ones (dark blue box) and have never noticed it with them, have noticed it with Top and Rizzla ones though, and yeah like he said, the tight ness of the packing matters to, try adding a little more to it, i recommend a small pinch at a time, till you get used to it.

If you don't mind the price, the Vera Cruz Nocturnes are a great filter tube, plus you get the stylish look: brown with gold trim. The look alone has gotten 2 people who asked me about them to try SYO. Plus the paper's a little thicker, so stuffs nice and tight, plus burns even and doesn't blow ash all over while smoking.

RIZA has the bigger filters.
