| I went down to Richmond , VA a couple of weeks ago to increase my knowledge of tobacco history. It was a great trip, but I would have loved to go inside the great Philip Morris factory. They only let me walk around and peak through the fence. Does anyone know of a cigarette factory tour in the US? |

| Well, Tom, I've never been on a tour of the cigarette factory. I'm quite sure that this was done for two or three reasons: 1) They don't want their secrets to get out to the anti's. 2) Possible terrorist activity and 3) they might have cartons and cartons of them stored in there and don't want people stealing. |

| Cigs are so expensive now, they're practically the same thing as protecting jewelry and protecting money in a safe. My mom told me to NEVER leave a cig carton in a car seat while in a store. Why? Well, because someone will break into the car in order to steal the carton. Makes sense to me (with her point in protecting cartons), but it's still sad that people break into cars if they see cig cartons inside. |
