Uhhhh...I'm confused right now, it almost looked like one of the people supporting our arguement was attacking Brooke?

Did I miss something?

It also appears that the Mall of America closed down all of its bars except Hooters.

I imagine, Hooter's business will go up with five less bars to compete, and the pro-ban people will claim that is evidence it doesn't hurt business.

Kind of like California where they never mention how fewer bars there are now than there was before the ban.

Weird how the claim people who smoke, kill more people than Hurricane Katrina did.

Just wait'll they start on Hostess' Twinkies.

Missed the Brooke episode. Which post was it? Will fill you in if I can as I know most of the cast pretty well by now.

Looks like it was another mess up on my part, I was reading people who responded to the user "To Brooke" as responding to Brooke.

I seriously believe that's Demonicus.

Once again I made a mistake, much as I'm making one now by having TVLand on and watching an episode of "Little House on the Prairie".

Scary thing is, I'm finding the show too complicated to follow.

One more question:

I notice everytime I come on here and am logged in, there is at least ten or more visitors.

Maybe I'm being a skeptic, but I don't think all of them oppose a ban.

Why would pro-banners hang out on an ant-ban site?

Torque:

The reason banners are hanging out on this site is that they are spying. One of David's posts on BtB alluded to it. Be careful what you post.

Oh, by the way, I appreciate not being able to follow "Little House On The Prairie." I used to be that way. Now, I find test patterns erotic and exciting.

Corpus Christi Texas, my hometown, has become the latest city to ban smoking in restaurants. There was a vote yesterday and the ban passed by about ten thousand votes. About 22,000 votes total, sad turnout for a city of over 300,000 people. Media had been inundating voters for days with statements on how all our children would die from second hand smoke, etc. It's sad. I guess it might be time to move.

irishguy, simply refuse to spend money in a restraunt, indeed, see what support is there for a "club" where you pay a nominal membership fee, and thus get around the ban ( no public place ) Or, find out where you can open a restaraunt right outside city limits, you will be the busiest restaraunt around............ Time for some civil disobediance here folks, after all, we have a dream too.

Just do what I've been doing Irish, like Pat says, "Boycott the places."

Here's something to crack you guys up, (I'm sure you'll love this DC.) here's an excerpt from an editorial by Jeanne Wiggum, President of the Association for Nonsmokers, Minnesota as it appeared in the Saint Paul Pioneer Press.

Keep in mind these are the same pricks who've claimed for months there is no negative impact on business, and they don't like Ramsey county's "partial" compromise with these idiots.

"The Ramsey law is causing the creation of more alchohol-intensive environments, at the same time as a new statewide drunk driving law is encouraging people to drink less when they go out. This isn't an approach worthy of emulation."

This is coming straight from the horses mouth, and if you've ever seen a picture of this wrinkly, prune-faced, buck-toothed [beeyotch], you'd feel having anal-sex with Mr. Ed during a marathon of "Silver Spoons" is better than having her seeing you naked, and not only is she two-faced, but look how she's changed her arguement from saying, "A ban is good for business." to "We should be encouraging people to drink less." (Let me know if you want to see the full article.)

Speaking of our "friends" at MADD this just came out today:

GIRL SEES DADS BODY IN IN DUI EXHIBIT

KNOXVILLE, Tenn ---- A 12-year-old student saw her fathers remains in a gruesome photo of a drunken-driving crash during a police lecture on the dangers of alchohol. The girls mother, Maria Cabbage Higginbotham, said her daughter was traumitized last month by the Holston Middle School exhibit. Family attorney Gregory Isaacs posed the question, "Why are we showing 12-year-olds mutilated bodies when they can't even drive a car for four more years?" The presentation of fatal Knox County collisions is shown at the request of schools, and police announce the names of the victims beforehand. The girl did not immediately recognize her father's formal name, her mother said. The photo showed his battered body lying in a pool of blood.

So is this kid and her mom running a scam or did MADD with their over 200,000 a-year exec. make a really big "F"-up?

At least we can all be safer, 'cause we know in five years there may possibly be a kid who's too [freaked] in the head to drive!

Torque:

We have seen many times how banners change their arguments to suit the purpose of the moment. They have no ethics or morals, just a desire to control.

Hey DC you ever read any anglo-saxon poetry? LOL

Appearently, what I entered as my email address didn't pass the censors. It might have contained some foul language.
