Glad to see you all are back..... I am not old enough to remember the '69 outage, but I had thought something like this wasn't supposed to happen again..... was afraid maybe Al Qaida was at it when I'd heard about it.
Just glad for everyone affected by the outage that cigarettes can be lit without electricity  |

Well, you forgot the smokers who use flames from a stove to light their cigs. I never tried using a stove to light up my cigs, and I think that's gross. I do feel sorry for those NY smokers who ran outta cigs during the outage (and couldn't buy any packs). |

Well, I agree that it is gross, but admittedly I have had to do this on an occasion or two when my zippo ran out of fluid and I had no bics around..... If you let the burner get red hot, the tobacco burns off anyhow.
