| I expressed slightly less than veiled hostility to a few posters who expressed ill feelings toward smokers in hotels. I did not use curse words. |

Just re-register under another name and keep up the good work.
My wife and I cruise a fair amount, and so far Royal Caribbean lets smokers have the port (left) side of the ship for smoking, as well as in at least one bar, and on balconies of your own room. When cruise lines ban smoking, that is when I stop crusing.
Merry Christmas.

Thanx for the input Wabbitt. No problem with cruise lines.
Can't reregister as they have my email address. Just thought tripadvisor.com was a bit draconian, could have at least given me a warning. I was a frequent contributor. |

You can always set up a fake email address for situations like that. I bet it would be hard to find anyone who doesn't use aliases nowadays, even the most law-abiding citizens. It's just necessary to have multiple email addresses. |

| It is interesting how people react when they know another person’s choice (smoking) is taken away from them. It is almost like an ant devouring a wasp. I feel sorry for them because they are the first to be hypocrites when their rights are taken away and are excluded by society (food, the car they drive, the political views). Keep up your posts and screw anyone who tries to silent you, we need more people like you. I am like you, I make waves and stand up against the majority of "sheep" that blindly follows the whims of society (which as a very bad track record of being right), I am behind you, speak your mind. |

Smoker's rights are being chipped away little by little until there will be none left. It's especially difficult while traveling because you're in unfamiliar territory. But, I found a solution...it's the electronic cigarette. It looks, feels, and tastes very much like a cigarette. It does have nicotine, but none of the chemicals and carcinogens common to tobacco. Because it's not controlled by the FDA, it's legal to use anywhere and it's not subject to tobacco tax.
My sister smoked 47 years and bought one 8 months ago for traveling. She ended up liking it so much she uses it exclusively now...in restaurants, hotels, even on airplanes. In fact, Ryan Air in the UK is now selling them on some of their flights.
I did a ton of research on these. You have to be careful because there are some real scary ones out there. Be sure to get one where the cartridges are manufactured in an FDA registered lab out of pharmicutical-grade ingredients. And, be sure to get a company with great service because the cartridges from one brand doesn't fit the other (good thing actually). And, you can't go down to your local tobacco shop and buy them.
Hope this helps. |
