I doubt if it's legal to walk around with real body parts in a baggie, so we can pretty much safely assume it's a fake. They could put anything they want in there and no one would know the difference.

Makes me think of when I played youth baseball back in the late 60's and early 70's. It wasn't unusual for a couple of the dads to split a six-pack of beer during a Friday night game while they puffed on cigarettes or cigars....on school grounds (hell, everyone was smoking). I'm sure there were a scant few who disapproved but, back then, those cranks and scolds were seen for what they are....cranks and scolds.
Back when I went to high school, they actually had a smoking area in the parking lot where seniors were allowed to smoke. And this was even a Catholic school. All the bad girls hung out in the smoking area during lunch. It's hard to believe no one objected back then.

Now the students are too smart for all that. They arrive with their Ritalin and Adderall, the socially acceptable replacements for cigarettes. Just pop the pill in your mouth, and no one can see that you are using chemicals to improve your concentration. In a decade or so, we'll start to see the long-term side effects of ADD and ADHD drugs, but for now, parents can pride themselves on raising tobacco-free kids.

I am surprised no one at that rally called him on it. Asked for proof of its being what he claimed.

Quote:
USA

The Black Pig Lung Hoax

It was an outright bald-faced lie.

"Pankiw described the centerpiece of his anti-smoking display as the diseased lung of a 150-pound man who smoked for 15 years. Actually, it was a pig's lung shot full of various carcinogens on purpose, but, Pankiw said later, his lesson was made stronger by not passing along that tidbit of truth."

Much more information on the link about anti-smokers lung exhibits in schools.

Most smokers are unaware that there is information available that would help them get a better perspective and understanding of the antismoking movement. Most probably don't even know Web sites like SmokingLobby exist. All they've been exposed to is the antismoking point of view with no balancing information that would help them maintain a sense of self-respect amid all the smoker-bashing.

I'm sure the college would not allow anyone to put up flyers about this Web site or any other smokers' rights Web site, because they would be shooting themselves in the foot if they did that. Colleges used to be bastions of free thought and free speech, but apparently they have hopped on the politically correct bandwagon.

All anyone has to do to discredit criticism of the antismoking movement is claim the evil tobacco companies are somehow behind it, anyway. I'm surprised the lawmakers haven't added an amendment to the Constitution stating that everyone has a right to free speech except people who work for tobacco companies. They are not allowed to speak or even move unless they first consult the extensive list of restrictions on their behavior.
