Whilst I agree with the "what goes around comes around" philosophy, mailing empty cig packs to representatives won't do a darn thing except upset their assistants. Or whoever opens the mail. The Reps themselves will never see the empty packs.
But the billboard idea... *smiles* Now that's grand.
I'd like to get a diseased lung of someone who just inhaled air their whole lives and one who actually smoked. Put them side by side... What no difference? Ooops. My mistake. lol |

My mistake. lol It would be hard for the antis to get rid of the billboards, after pushing for the gory cig packs. What could they say, that children should not be exposed to the distressing photos? It would be hard to argue that, after putting so much effort into brainwashing children in other ways.
Drawing a legal line between the cig packs and the billboards would be hard to do without coming out and admitting that the cig packs are obscene. |

Another good idea would be just to mail all our empty cig packs to our state representatives. Let them deal with a tide of gory photos. We could disguise the packs in all different kinds of envelopes so there would be no way of telling until the envelope was opened. In order to stop it, they would have to pass a special law making it illegal to mail them the empty packs.
Hows about we hold rallys with those packs as plackards outside their houses.

And even if by some miracle they DO open them, after the first 2-3, they won't be opening them on their own.

That it is. But what are the laws for billboards?

I don't know if there are laws other than they prohibit obscenities. Now, if they consider pics like that obscene....ummmmm.... guess they'll have to remove them from cig packs as well, right? |
