Hi Everyone,
This is my first post here. reading some of the posts on this site all I could say is WOW!. I've been smoking for about 40 years and to simply say that our Congress Critters need to get a life and leave us alone (hmmmm wander if their cigars ever went up). I'm trying to get the blend of a marlboro medium, I've got Turkish tobacco, gamblers full flavor and premium light tobacco, I buy the 1 LB bags and would like to know what mix.
I'm just starting RYO and have the Zig-Zag full flavor tubes, do I need to go with the light tubes. I'll be setting my tobacco this spring and my plants are free, all I have to worry about is the tubes.
I heard that China wants to import the Tobacco to the U.S., of course that was many years ago, not sure if true today though.
I am not going to give in to these Congress Tricksters any longer. They have hit my boiling point. if they passed a bill outlawing cigarettes today, then so be it, I will live my own life as an outlaw. |

Welcome Aboard tiso_us,
I am also new at MYO and growing tobacco.
I smoked Marlboro Light100s for many years. After making my own, I now prefer a little flavor like vanilla or peach. I found that Harvest Gold Light with a touch of Gambler Light is pretty close to the taste of Marlboro Lights, using Premier light 100 tubes, however they use so many other additives that who knows what you would need to blend to get the exact flavor.
I will be setting plants also in late April here in Maryland which has a fairly long growing season into September. I have no idea of what will become of my "tobacco harvest" if any and how it will cure and smoke, but I guess I will find out.
Glad to have more people join in. |

thanks for the warm welcome,
Sorry it took so long, had to fight with a Dell computer with a virus that belong to the grandkids. Harvest Gold you say, hmmmm gonna have to try that but don't think the wife likes the sound of that, but she will understand though giving the tax rise and all.
I just came into a pot of gold with tobacco, a good friend had died just recent and left me @ 30 Lbs bailed. now how do i process it for smoking, does anyone have a clue?. Its raw tobacco from kentucky, I think but not sure it might be 525.
I'm going to the store next week and pick me up some of those Premier light 100 tubes myself, all i got now is zig zag full flavors right now. |

For a lot of information on growing, drying and curing tobacco, try this website:

Good Luck, and let us know how it tastes when you finish the process.

Thank you for the site.......
I know about growing the tobacco, curing it and all. It looks like I got some reading to do.
I remember the distinct smell of the tobacco in the marlboro tobacco blend....smelled like cherry or swisher sweets cigar-ettes. |
