I live in washington and from what I gather our smoking laws are fairly strict. I've heard recently that in many states it's legal to smoke herbal cigarettes in public and work areas. While I've heard they taste horrible it might help to kill the cravings. Does anybody know whether it's legal or not to smoke them indoors in the state of washington?

It is illegal.

Under the definitions section, smoking covers anything in a pipe, cigar, cigarette, or anything else. The text of the law can be found here:

JoshNJ posted a very educational reply, since I wasn't sure about that. (and that's extremely unfortunate that Washington voters in November 2005 passed such a strict state smoking ban, although that doesn't totally surprise me that herbal cigarettes are part of Washington's state ban)

What's sad about both of us, is that we're stuck in states that have among the strictest smoking laws in the whole country. (me being stuck in Illinois being the only difference) Hopefully, we'll both someday end up in states that have more liberal laws relating to smokers rights and libertarian issues in general, and a major goal that I hope to accomplish within the next few years of my life.

I see that The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is donating $500 Million to eradicate smoking throughout the world, including funding for proposed anti-smoking laws.
Did good ol' Bill or Microsoft spearhead the State of Washington anti-smoking legislation?
I've been using Windows more and more but enjoying it less, and even though Bill is retired now, maybe I will switch to Linux.

Read this and drool.

Lovely to see we have another Bloomberg(or Bloomingidiot) borrowing off his damn agenda, just to look good himself. Guarantee just like all other anti-smoking efforts, it'll just be a fregging waste of money to do.

One of these days, we really all need to rise up and find an organized way to fight back against anti-smoking bastards, and their prohibition and demonization efforts against smokers....

"eradicate smoking throughout the world"? *giggles hysterically*

Damn, someday that fool will do something right and I'll faint from the sheer shock. Laughing Maybe he got so out of touch with reality while convincing himself that windows was a real operating system.

Linux is a winner, and not that hard to use. Believe me, if I can figure it out, anyone can! Smile

The only way to fight the anti-smoking bastards is to stop buying american cigarettes. As long as you pay the money/taxes and frequent smokeless restaurants nothing will change.

The cig companies have lobbyists. They don't need to act if you keep buying cartons of cigarettes for $50 to $75.

Start buying european and the fundamentals that made america great will kick in - corporate greed and political corruption.

switzerland via ch. I guess I shouldn't post the name of the company. Pay by echeck. There are many sources out there. Ukraine counterfeits aren't as good. Many of the sites are in the process of changing the payment method to echeck.
